    1st- Zila Control (me)
    2nd - R/G Welder Survival
    3rd - Suicide Black
    4th - Fish

I saw two Enchantress decks, a Mono Blue Control, two Mono Black, some red burn, and a U/W/R Specter Control.

Again I was dissapointed with this shop. I heard they were sanctioned but later found out they haven't had any sanctioned tournaments for about a month now.

    T8
    1. 6-0 SD Zoo
    2. 5-0-1 Throbbing Pink Weenie
    3. 5-1 B/G Void
    4. 4-1-1 U/G Madness
    5. 4-1-1 ATS
    6. 4-1-1 4c Landstill
    7. 4-2 B/W Braids
    8. 4-2 Mono Black

This was one of the few tournaments that I really felt like the lack of a T8 split really skewed the results. I conceded to SD Zoo in the last round, since he was my ride and paid my entrance, but I didn't do the math right and ended up 6th when I thought I'd catch 4th. Had it been a T8 split, it wouldn't have mattered, and I could've caught 2nd, as there wasn't anything really scary there other than Void. Que sera, sera.

Edit: I've been asked to tell y'all that Void's only loss was a concession as well.

    1. ATS-variant, Jeremy (unregged), 4-0
    2. Mono-U Fish, Elliot (unregged), 3-0-1
    3. U/R Fish, Carl (somniphobic520), 3-1 (lost to ATS)
    4. Random Black (with Maze of Ith!), Mike (meggleston3), 3-1 (lost to ATS)
(5.) Solitaire, me, 2-1-1 (tied with UFish, lost to lame deck with my arch enemies: duress/specter, sinkholes, deeds, etc.)

I posted 5th, because the coordinator said I took third, even though I went 2-1-1 (tied with 2nd place, he went 3-0-1), but Mike and Carl both went 3-1 (losing only to 1st), so I think he must have screwed something up. We figured I was fifth, if not third.

This is a week old, but I just noticed no one posted it. The Survival Advantage was my deck.
On another note, wow, only 1 bad deck in finals this week. Looks like our meta is shaping up.

This tourny was run by ryan1989. Hopefully he gets a judge test/interview/tournies with Level 3 done soon so he can get certified and get us sanctioned.

    1. Crucible.deck (Nick Mo., was Thunderchikun, now unregged) 3-1-1
    2. Survival Advantage (David C., unregged) 4-1-0
    3. Angel Stompy (James W., Dark Tiger) 5-0-0
    4. U/g Madness (thomas) 3-1-1

Wow, our meta is really shaping up. Say what you want about Crucible.deck, but our build for it rapes almost everything if you are enough of a badass to play it right.
Again, the Advantage was my deck. The kid playing it was someone from my school who only plays in drafts and is mostly just a collector. I spent about 7 minutes teaching him how to play the deck before the tourny, and he'd never even seen it before that. He did amazingly well considering Survival anything is usually not a deck you can just wing it with without having any experience.
Dark Tiger was my teammate as well. He bought the entire deck on Friday after I gave him my proxied version.
Thomas was borrowing a deck again as usual. This time it was Ryan's madness, since Ryan was running the tourny again.

I was playing mono black discard which I threw together at the beginning of the tourny. A few bad matchups and horrible topdecks took me out of it, though, not to mention I couldn't get a hold of any Factories or Wastelands. Had to play against my own deck (Advantage), and lost holding 2 Dystopias in opening hand because I couldn't get a third fucking land OR Dark Ritual.

    Other decks I can remember:
    Goblin Sligh x2
    Burn Sligh
    another Angel Stompy (Drake33535)
Sui Black (XOM Dragon I think)
Reanimator w/ Deeds (good old Mizor.mize)
    Raffinity
    Holy Redux (ehKo)
    Super Gro (shadowsky)

Anyway, enough random comments. Thanks to Ryan for running yet another tourny. Hopefully the Level 3 judge in our area stops being an ass and does his part to get Ryan certified sometime soon.

Our tourney was rather small this week, but still, for the sake of having a continuous report:

    1/28/05
    Game Empire, San Diego CA
    32 players

    1st: Reanimator 4-0-1 Rodrigo Gonzalez
    2nd: B/G Void 4-0-1 Jon Salem
3rd: SD Zoo 4-1 Dave Hernandez
4th: Mono Black 4-1 Phillipe Plante
    5th: 4c 'Tog 4-1 Nick Trudeau
6th: SD Zoo 3-0-2 Chris Montero
7th: Pink Weenie 3-1-1 Dean Eckenroth
8th: Trinity Green 3-2 John Canham

Strange week this week. I ended up losing to mono black in the 5th, pushing me out to 9th place, not exactly the way I wanted to spend my last tourney in San Diego. Dave was down after a couple months away, and for the first time I've ever seen (and quite possibly in Dave's life) he was not playing control.

    Players: 20+?

    1st - U/G Madness(thomas) - playing ryan1989 deck.
    2nd - B/u/g Reanimator (Miz0r.mize)
    3rd - WW (unregged)
    4th - Elves (unregged)

Not the greatest tourney ever, in fact it sucked bad. I played my 10 minute Sligh deck, lost to combo and ponza(wtf?). I prolly would have beat combo had I any Price of Progress, but alas I was unpreparred. The guy that played WW was really cool, he ran an old school version with Cursed Scroll, Enlightened Tutor, and new tech of AEther Vial, Samari of the Pale Curtain, and Kami of the Ancient Law.

    Other decks of note: 3x Sligh, 1x ponza, 2x Angel stompy, 1x R/G Survival, 1x bad.dec(fluctuator), 1x Affinity, 1x MBC(sort of).
My Title is way cooler than yalls... Thanks peter_rotten.

With engineered explosives, it is a good card to have against non-land permanents with converted mana cost equal to what you set the explosives to, but it doesn't hit those that have differing cc. Plus, engineered explosives has sunburst.
