Doubling storm is pretty irrelevant because I can't see storm decks ever running this card.
What triggered abilities are there that would be good enough when copied to warrant running a do-nothing mana sink? I can't think of any.
I can't see a great place for it yet (in the 45 seconds i've thought about it) - but seems like a very cool card. And it's not like wizards is going to stop printing triggered abilities, so the ability itself will only get better in time. seems very interesting.
Emptying the Warrens: So YOU don't have to!
Strikes me as too mana intensive. 4 mana is a lot in Legacy.
In before the token: "Maybe it will be good in Stax" I mean it does put a second trigger of Tangle Wire's tap ability and Smokestack's sac ability onto the stack...
TPDMC
Bob, SFM and Snapcaster come into mind to play rather nicely with it.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with rules questions pertaining to this card. So I started a thread about it over in the rules section of the forum:

Maybe learning more about how this works will help us find a way to make it playable :)
My issue with the card is that the benefits of cloning a trigger have to outweigh the drawbacks of: (1) using slots in your deck on a card that specifically needs to piggyback other cards, (2) needing two extra mana and to tap the artifact on top of whatever else you had to do to get the trigger in the first place, and (3) the card being blank when you don't have any triggers or any triggers worth cloning (like a Delver flip, for example). Cloning a Bob or a Snapcaster is fine and all, but not when you have to spend mana and space in your deck to do it.
So. It has come to this.
Stax.
Edit: op nop From Cairo already mentioned it. Nothing to see here.
Remand can do this for roughly the same cost in High Tide, and without going and looking I don't know if any Tide decks - or any Storm decks for that matter - are running Remand. And Remand has pretty clear applications outside of just functionally copying a Storm trigger.
It would maybe take for-balls-ever to get going but it would be a shitty Doubling Cube with Braid of Fire. If only either of those cards actually did anything...
Tangle Wire, Smokestack, Sundial of the Infinite and now this.....
Someone's up to something.
Not to mention Buried Ruin
M0@r EDH cards. You could use it with Stax ... but the same could have been said for Sundial and that just ends up being worse than just adding another lock piece or a metamorph to copy lock pieces.
While I doubt that it would be good, it sounds like pure hilarity to jam that into a Standard Junk Reanimator list with Restoration Angel, Thragtusk, Acidic Slime and Angel of Serenity.
You can tick down two suspend counters a turn with this as well.

I'm probably just addicted to value, but can you imagine how sweet this card would be in a BUG Agent sort of deck? Double up on Strix, Bob, Shardless Agent, tick down Vision faster... Might make a fine one-of.
Languages and dates for every set. For all you true pimps.
seems like overkill with SFM. If your batter skull sticks, do you really need a jitte too?
not to mention that late game is the only time you would be able to use this cause of its mana intensiveness
so ya, stax doesnt need more triggers it needs more consistency. Stax is one of the most powerful decks hence why there is a vintage variant. Its major problem is its lack of consistency. Strionic resonator doesnt improve consistency on locking opponent out.
The problem with Strionic resonator is that abilities that trigger are not really game breaking. If they are game breaking copying it is probably overkill. If the trigger isn't game breaking its probably not worth including resonator for it.
Also, this is a late game card cause of its mana requirements. Since it is a late game card at most you would want 2. Having a card that is at most a 2 of will have little impact on anything.

why cards are so expensive...hoarders
I think I'm going to work on a Sol Land Goblins list with this. They have like all the triggered abilities.
Double Sundering Titan triggers and Wurmcoil triggers are both pretty hilarious in MUD, which is a deck that might even have the mana floating around for the Resonator to show its stuff.
