Aloha Sourcers,
I'm requesting a quick, down-and-dirty list of Dragon's Maze cards to acquire to keep current my Legacy play set. I haven't had the time to review the spoilers and subsequent discussion. If you would, please list the cards and quantities of the Dragon's Maze set that you think may be playable in Legacy.
Mahalo,
Dave

Pick up 2/3 Notion thieves if that's your thing. They could be handy for esper in a blue-heavy meta. e

And honestly, thank god for that. Singles prices have been brutal lately.
notion thief cost 4 and for being such a conditional card your better playing tons of other options. Blood Scrivener and Valoz for sure tho if your a black player.
Play 4 Card Blind!

why cards are so expensive...hoarders
Thanks fellow Sourcers!
This is very helpful. Similarly to Gatecrash, it doesn't seem like there is much in DGM for Legacy players. This is good for me, as I don't have to drop $200 to keep current my play set.
Thank you for your input and suggestions!

Notion Theif into Brainstorm anyone? "U - Put 2 cards from hand on top of your library"

That would be cool if Notion Thief didn't cost four or if the casting of Brainstorms were consistent or if Notion Thief wasn't complete dead weight without opposing Brainstorms. I mean, hell, Burn can't run Runeflare Trap, and it even triggers off Standstill.
Thanks for your response! In what deck/decks do you see Beck//Call being played?
I can see strong synergy between Blood Scrivener and the aforementioned cards. Especially with SDT - multiple SDTs and/or multiple Scriveners would turn all free mana into cards each turn (assuming that one could play out his/her hand).
I think that Notion Thief will see some play in Legacy. It is a nice Vendilion Clique / Geist of St. Traft-like card for the mirror. It shuts down Brainstorm, Ponder, the draw function of SDT, and Jace's +0. Not to mention corner cases like Glimpse of Nature, Regal Force, Griselbrand, Enter the Infinite, Preordain, Careful Study, Faithless Looting, Ideas Unbound, Ancestral Vision, Gitaxian Probe, Baleful Strix, Elvish Visionary etc. etc.
Like all cards of this nature, there will be doubt, someone will run the card and win a major tournament, then everyone will run it, and then it will even out.
Too bad it is costed at 4, although in the control mirror, this hardly matters.

Beck is a pseudo-Glimpse of Nature that triggers off CIP instead of casting. Its current play will be limited, but some see it as a sleeper hit due to its potential. At the very least, it's expected to replace the banned Glimpse in Modern.
Worth noting that this can actually kill you.
How about every card, from every set, for both Legacy and Vintage? (probably a couple misses)

Most of the time I just buy a playset of each set if it is reasonable about a month after it hits Magic Online. It is not very budget but it sure helps when you have them junk rares that end up shooting skyhigh when there is something new released that breaks them or combos with them for dramatic effect. It gets harder and harder anymore sometimes it just seems like it would be cheaper to buy a case and trade or buy the few cards i need to finish a playset and sell the rest.
Oh, totally, but it makes me happy to see it thanks to all that initial hype oh so long ago. So soon after Tarmogoyf there were a few stupid overhypes like that. Each one being the last word in whatever type the card was. Taurean Mauler was another good one. Going a bit more recently, my favorite, and one I ctrl+f'd to my delight, was Cosi's Trickster.
