    Best answer to Jitte?

I honestly don't like the new legend rules as a Jitte is no longer an answer to an opposing Jitte and I feel that too many matchups are now decided by who can get it online first. I therefore feel forced to dedicate some sideboard slots to fighting it, but I am unsure what it should be. Is Disenchant really the best there is? I am playing Deadguy Ale. Think Death and Taxes but with Bob and discard.

Buy them, rip them apart so no one can play that design atrocity anymore.

Play Tendrils and don't give a crap.

I had a look at this and as far as I can tell Disenchant is your best option.
It is better to ask and look stupid then keep your mouth shut and remain so.

I agree. The awkwardness of the new Jitte mirror is the worst part of the new legend rule IMO. It is now virtually impossible to have your own Jitte combat an active Jitte because the one with counters will just kill off whatever you equip your Jitte to. It was a lot cleaner, and IMO healthier, back then when you could just legend rule other Jittes with your own.

Sadly, Disenchant seems to be your best option. I'd suggest Manriki-Gusari but that card has problems dealing with an active Jitte as well. Who knows, maybe they'll print an Abrupt Decay-esque removal spell in WB in the future (to match Vindicate in the way Abrupt Decay matches Maelstrom Pulse).

A combo deck, a control deck, Green Sun's Zenith, or a lot of removal. What deck are you playing?

The best answer to Jitte is probably Maze of Ith.
It's cardadvantage, uncounterable, and it doesn't destroy the Jitte (so excess Jittes in hand are useless).

    Just Nature's Claim it.

    Then play your own.

    Swing.

Pithing Needle is good. Also MoR could prevent the damage and where there is no damage, there are no Jitte counters. Disenchant seems like a good bet. Vindicate is maindeckable. Maybe you can hit it with discard. If they tutor it up with SFM, you may have a one-turn window of oportunity unless they play it immediatelly, of course.
Isn't there something similar to Ronom Unicorn only hitting artifacts? Some monowhite QPM?

edit: Oh, I just realized the post above... So it's Capashen Unicorn.

Vindicate and Disenchant are probably your best bets in Dead Guy for actually killing a jitte. You can sometimes make it obsolete though. Mother of runes can help you block a jitte equiped creature and prevent any counters from being added. Revoker can name jitte and make it useless. Thalia or other first strikers can block a jitte dude and kill it before it deals damage. Also, splashing green for DRS and abrupt decay sounds not bad.

That is a good answer. I was going to suggest tower of the magistrate, but maze is miles better.

Tower and Maze are both excellent. Tower gets a slight nod for dealing with Battserkull better.

I'm currently playing Deglamour, which is fine against everything that isn't Stoneforge Mystic. Disenchant/Nature's Claim etc. might be better, but I'm certainly excited by not putting things into the Graveyard. It also hurts things like Top and Brainstorm.

    From the D&T deck,
    Flickerwisp + Aether Vial
Mangara + Karakas (both as block+ bounce, as well as exile+bounce)
    Blocks + Mother of Runes
    STP
    Phyrexian Revoker
    Relic Warden

    From Deadguy Ale,
    Disenchant

    Wear and Tear.

Or, for people complaining my creature die if they have an active Jitte, you're not playing big enough creatures. 5/6 goyf, Equip, Swing. Got 6 Jitte Counters? Dun think so.
