    [Deck] The Black Rooster

    Working intro:

    Version 1.0

    The Rooster
    4x Goblin Charbelcher

    The consistency
    4x spoils of the vault
    4x serum powder

    The mana
    4x lion's eye diamond
    4x lotus petal
    4x chrome mox
    4x mox opal
    4x grim monolith
    4x jeweled amulet (really)
    4x dark ritual
    4x cabal ritual
    4x summoner's pact
    4x elvish spirit guide
    1x wild cantor
    2x simian spirit guide

    The swag
1x atogatog aka your favorite creature that is at least black/green for chrome mox. (Probably should be deathrite though)

    The protection
    4x pact of negation

    Sideboard
4x ways to deal with leyline of sanctity (reverent silence with land grants?)

The biggest question mark is jeweled amulet and in all likelihood it's terrible. Turning on metalcraft and storing leftover led mana helps fuel a belcher activation on your upkeep when your staring down pact triggers and that's about it. Spoils of the vault is there for consistency and the yolo factor of getting whatever you need. If you kill yourself with it then whatever, you're playing belcher. Probes can't be included because you need as much life as you can for spoils and you don't care about storm.

Some other ideas are land grants with a bayou. That's what everyone else is here for. Tune this. I'm just the messenger

So you grab an old iteration of Belcher and replace proven manasources like Land Grant and SSG with iffy Jeweled Amulets and Opal Moxen for the sake of ... what?

Having an outdated and worse Version of Belcher?

Spoils mainly. I'm not claiming it's better and the list probsbly sucks. but there may be someone out there who wants to work on it.

No, no one wants to work on making a worse belcher build.

BG Belcher with Spoils of the Vault and Plunge into Darkness were the norm back then before Seething Song, Rite of Flame, Simian Spirit Guide or Empty the Warrens saw print and were replaced with Burning Wish like the whole color
