I don't envy the guy tasked with turning a fucking card game into a filmable script. Well, actually I do because he's going to get paid a shitload of money for his work, but you know what I mean.

The biggest thing this movie will have going for it will probably be the lowest baseline expectations since Battleship.

I was surprised that they found 2 Young actors even worse than Nicholas Cage and put all 3 in a single Movie. That Movie was nearly as bad as the D&D ones, which tells a lot.

There seems like there's been a lot of good back story/lore to MTG over the years. I could see something about Urza and Mishra being made into a movie that's not bad. It seems much more likely that this is a cash grab by Hasbro and will closer resemble a 2hr Jace commercial.
