    Trollolol

    Alrighty, I was browsing through all sets and decided to build a deck around this interaction

    1) Cast Storm World
    2) Cast discard spells
    3) Wait for them to Brainstorm; surprise Notion Thief
    4) Proceed to LOL as they get killed by Storm World.

    4 Thoughtseize
    4 Hymn to Tourach
    3 Force of Will
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Ancestral Vision
    4 Innocent Blood
    2 Engineered Explosives
    2 Damnation

    4 Liliana of the Veil
    2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    2 Notion Thief
    3 Storm World

    1 Academy Ruins
    1 Tolaria West
    4 Polluted Delta
    3 Scalding Tarn
    2 Bloodstained Mire
    4 Underground Sea
    1 Volcanic Island
    1 Badlands
    2 Swamp
    2 Island
    1 Creeping Tar Pit
    1 Maze of Ith

    //Sideboard:
    2 Notion Thief
    2 Surgical Extraction
    2 Relic of Progenitus
    3 Engineered Plague
    2 Countersquall
    1 Force of Will
    1 Flusterstorm
    1 Engineered Explosives
    1 Damnation

    Re: Trollolol

    The other Notion Thief deck I was considering is something I wanted to pet-name "Notion Still"

    //27 mana:
    3 Underground Sea
    4 Polluted Delta
    4 Misty Rainforest
    1 Verdant Catacombs
    2 Swamp
    2 Island
    1 Bayou
    1 Tropical Island
    1 Creeping Tar Pit
    4 Mishra's Factory
    4 Chrome Mox

    //Disruption: 19
    4 Force of Will
    4 Thoughtseize
    3 Counterspell
    3 Abrupt Decay
    2 Dismember
    3 Liliana of the Veil

    //Draw: 14
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Standstill
    3 Notion Thief
    3 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    Sadly, this deck lacks both Storm World and Nourishing Shoal, so it just seems underpowered. But there is still troll potential! (albeit reduced)

    The goal is to drop Standstill as early as possible (turn 1 is possible!). Then you proceed to let the opponent give you free turns/cards. Opponent might pop Standstill to Ancestral you into an answer. Or if opponent does nothing or has a board already, you can EOT flash in Notion Thief to pop your own Standstill and draw 3 cards anyway. When your opponent explains it doesn't work that way, you say "but flash!", call them a noob, and then ragequit.

    Re: Trollolol

    But those cards are terrible with Storm World.

    Fine...

    //Card disadvantage: 11
    4 Chrome Mox
    3 Sensei's Divining Top
    4 Force of Will

    //Spells people play: 15
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Lightning Bolt
    4 Thoughtseize
    3 Toxic Deluge

    //Permanents people play: 5
    3 Jace the Mind Sculptor
    2 Engineered Explosives

    //Notion Thief: 4
    4 Notion Thief

    //Cards that interact well with Notion Thief but are completely win-more and thin the deck of business: 4
    4 Reforge the Soul

    //Lands:
    Copy and Paste from Above

    The deck functions as follows.

    1) Durdle
    2) Kill stuff
    3) Brainstorm/Jace/Top Reforge on top of library
    4) EOT flash in Notion Thief
    5) Opponent kills Notion Thief
    6) Untap your permanents
    7) Draw Reforge and imprint it on Chrome Mox
    8) End My Turn

    Re: Trollolol

    Yes but with Storm World AND Notion Thief they are as funny as they are win more! With Notion Thief out you would draw 13 and they'd only draw the 1 so you'd get some damage in.

    Re: Trollolol

    Alright.

    //Lands: 22
    4 Polluted Delta
    4 Scalding Tarn
    3 Volcanic Island
    3 Underground Sea
    1 Badlands
    1 Creeping Tar Pit
    2 Island
    1 Swamp
    1 Mountain
    1 Academy Ruins
    1 Riptide Laboratory

    //Card disadvantage: 12
    4 Force of Will
    4 Chrome Mox
    2 Sensei's Divining Top
    2 Storm World

    //Obligatory pretend-to-be-a-good-decks-palyer slots: 20
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Thoughtseize
    2 Lightning Bolt
    2 Dismember
    3 Snapcaster Mage
    2 Engineered Explosives
    3 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    //LOL: 7
    4 Notion Thief
    3 Winds of Change

    Winds of Change may not even draw you any cards! What it is guaranteed to do is keep the opponent's hand small. Winds, Snap into Winds, bounce Snap into Winds again while Storm World shocks them to death.

    OR EVEN BETTER

    3 Wheel of Fate
    1 Reforge the Soul

    4 Force of Will
    4 Notion Thief
    4 Chromatic Lantern
    4 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
    3 Liliana of the Veil
    2 Dismember
    2 Damnation

    2 Tombstalker

    4 Shardless Agent
    4 Ardent Plea

    //23 lands:
    4 Ancient Tomb
    4 Saprazzan Skerry
    4 Peat Bog
    2 Ancient Spring
    2 Sulfur Vent
    4 Gemstone Mine
    3 City of Brass

    //Casca-Balance transformational sideboard:
    3 Restore Balance
    4 Nihilith
    4 Greater Gargadon
    4 Deep-Sea Kraken

    The ultimate in durdle. You play a bunch of suicidal lands, cheat out Chromatic Lantern so they don't suck, cheat-sideboard-in Meddling Mage on Abrupt Decay to protect your ultra-fragile manabase, then proceed to Notion Thief and casca-Wheel. Opponent will discard hand and you will draw 13. Rinse and repeat until you mill yourself to death.

    Alternately, you can use the cards to attempt to win, although this deck is not very good at the latter. PWs grinds or Tombstalker beats while opponent has no cards in hand.

    When that fails, you can sideboard out Notion Thief/draw stuff into the 15-card casca-Balance SB. Opponent will be confused and likely concede. If not, you combo-Balance with a suspended finisher, inch towards Jace ultimate while the gradually unsuspend, then slowly beat them to death.

    Control finishes for a fragile combo shell. That's how control-combo is supposed to work, right?

    You could have The Rack to add more Old School. I like the idea, because trolling in game is pretty awesome.
