    Kotter articles?

Any word on how come Carsten Kotter hasn't published any articles these past two Fridays? Probably some innocous explanation but with the recent refurbishing at SCG you'd be forgiven for getting concerned. I'm getting the itch for my regular eternal content!

Most disappointed again, best articles on the site. I guess everyone deserves a holiday sometime.

Probably this but it's more fun to make wild unsubstantiated claims about what's happening

Such as him being in Ukraine fighting for Syrian freedom

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

He's busy writing his master thesis (while fighting for freedom in the Ukraine).

I can't tell when you people are joking and when you are serious. Yeah, master thesis; the Ukraine? What?

Carsten has some relatives in Odesa, one of the largest cities there. While he's actually mainly concerned about his master thesis on the post-Sovjet transformation of the Ukraine, he's also actively opposing the regime on the streets.

It's great to send emails with that line in it.

Nah, he's busy with the Master's Thesis. We'll also be having him on Everyday Eternal for some interviewing.

    Re: Kotter articles?

Carsten is my favorite Magic writer, and I look forward to him eventually returning.

As a side note, I hope publishers take note that many of us would rather read content from a good player like Carsten who articulates his points very clearly, and manages to strike the right balance between theory, decklists, and tournament reports. I find that much more refreshing than articles by players who might be more established but don't focus on formats I care about, or even worse, have no cohesiveness to their writing or are dismissive of legitimate strategies that they don't personally enjoy.

I heard he was having a little too much fun on the vice squad and had to take a timeout.
