After downtime last month, the Everyday Eternal crew is back with lots of format news.
Additionally, a friend of the podcast has provided us with some of the much-talked-about Chinese counterfeits to take a look at. While we’ve already talked about what we think of them in general, we spend a bit of time explaining why we think, at least this print run, shouldn’t be of any concern to the average player.
Note: This podcast was recorded before the Brainstorm scandal at GP: Paris broke out. Pending the results of that investigation, I’m sure we’ll have something to say about it later.
Time stamps:
00:50 GP Paris results
08:06 – Modern Banned List Updates
16:09 – Born of the Gods Set Review
26:38 – Listener Feedback
30:28 – Chinese Counterfeits
35:50 – The Rise of Miracles?
38:22 – Tournament Annoucement
39:45 – Outro
So glad you guys are back!
Want to beat True-Name Nemesis? Here's what you do when your opponent resolves it, and they name you.
Yeah, it's been time for some regular Legacy content! Plus it involves Miracles, and who doesn't love Miracles?
Good show, as usual. Really looking forward to it being put up back regularly.
Greetings
Great to have another show at least. Should change the name of the podcast to "Every-other-month Eternal" /snicker.
Nah, joking aside. Here's hoping for more (and more frequent) casts to sate my need for legacy content.
On this show: nice to hear your experiences with the Chineses fakes. Very cool that you guys took it upon yourselves to do research like that for the good of the community
When discussing the GP in Paris it's too bad that you guys recorded before the Brainstorm-Gate story broke. Would have been interesting to hear your thoughts on the eventual winner's on-camera brainstorm display in the top-8.
It was fun watching Sean rip up expensive fake cards at the Open. Really wished he had taken them up to the booth and attempted to sell them though before he realized they were fake
Brainstorm gate is pretty savage.
There's also a podcast in between the last two podcasts. It's like summer magic.
A very terse webpage at wizards states the results are under review.
Nice to have EE back from short hiatus. Good ep! Too bad the set was dry for eternal magic discussion.
We already recorded the next episode. Stay tuned for special guests
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
