Thanks Megadeus, and you as well, Cabo.

What really bites about that match is that before the tournament, I made a last minute choice to swap a Master for the 4th Champ. If I had seen a single Master in game 1, I would've taken it. Game 2, if those Champs were Masters, I would've went to town on Dan. So, after going home, I made the following changes: 4 Masters MD, and definitely 4 Whipflare in the 75, possibly 2 in the MD, because I AM NOT GOING TO LOSE TO ELVES EVER AGAIN.

I welcome any continued discussion on my decklist or Affinity in general over in its respective thread. I know most of you probably wouldn't touch the deck with a ten-foot pole to play in Legacy (believe me, I understand - I hated Affinity's entire existence when it was in Extended), but I highly respect the opinions of people on The Source, and I would love it if any of you guys were interested in stirring up some discussion. Even if you don't know anything about Affinity in Legacy, I wouldn't mind entertaining some questions as long as they embody some amount of critical thinking.

Anyway, I'm turning my salt into fire and now I'm deadset on going to SCG Baltimore when I wasn't planning on going to. I'm still hungry.

Yeah I didn't catch the elves match, but I was thinking that whipflare would be a sweet card to board against delver. Seems you already knew that. Good luck in Baltimore. It's unfortunately a bit too far for me.

Wtf is new about affinity? It's been around since ... Affinity. Its explosive but vulnerable to hate and sweepers and do nothing openers.

Let's say it's fresh, instead of new, Like someone piloting Zoo or goblins in the top 8!!:) (and apparently Burn isn't Fresh. It's at the Dredge level).

Glad to see Cook doing well with "ANT".

I think its also worth noticing that the Modern 5k didn't "kill legacy" anything close to it.

    Attendance
    Standard: 620
    Legacy: 372
    Modern: 205

Legacy still had the normal 50-60% of the standard attendance.

Mr. Cook not phased by Grisel. Todd made mistake of activating Gris too soon. Could have waited until tutor was on stack.

Can't imagine an experienced SNT player could make such a lethal mistake...

I assume he was searching for a Lotus petal to make his Spell Pierce active. In hindsight it seems like the wrong play, but meh. I'm still happy to see it happen though

Wow nasty punt by Dylan there.

And he bounced back with a great game to take Bryant out of the Top 8. Good for him but :( for us.

You guys are really whining about Dylan beating a deck that only wins when it draws well because he drew well?

At this point, yes, storm is more interesting than Delver.
