hey guys, i could really use some suggestions and your opinions about the new deck i have made.
2x Animate Dead
2x Duress
1x Damnation
4x Hypnotic Specter
4x Counterspell
1x Scion Of Darkness
4x Dark Ritual
4x Paralyze
4x Terror
1x Ponder
2x Bribery
4x Diabolic Edict
1x Brainstorm
1x Wrexial, the Risen Deep
1x Sphinx of Magosi
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Sol ring
1x Mindtwist
What do you think?
Side:
I would replace Terror with Doom Blade as it can hit non-artifact creatures such as Tarmogoyf as well.
I would play lands, and maybe avatar of woe.
Yeah i suppose that's a good idea since Terror can't kill Artifact creatures :)
Do you have any other suggestions? :)
avatar of woe hmm yeah that could be great aswel, but then i need to throw something out of the deck to make some space for that.
This should be moved to New and Developmental.
Also bud, Mind Twist, Sol Ring and Demonic Tutor are banned in Legacy.

Moved to Developmental. Also, as Hollywood said, this deck isn't Legacy legal.
Okay i didn't knew that.
Well i'll take these cards out of the deck, but what would you suggest then?
Can you send a link please?
I think you're trying to build a more casual deck that uses old cards and that's fine. Unfortunately, you choose a competitive forum for Legacy magic which, while it can share the same cards, is generally about lean, cut-throat decks that spare no expense.
My suggestion is to try and look at decks in the forum and identify cards you might like to run. In terms of an actual deck suggestion, make sure your mana base can support running Counterspell and Hypnotic Spectre at the same time. Mixing Dark Ritual and Counterspell just feels wrong, but you could do it assuming you have access to original Dual Lands, fetchlands, etc. You might want to look at running a more aggressive Black deck that splashes Blue for late game cards (like Bribery).

Assuming you needed a link to the banned list? Google is your friend.
@Mistaa: Before I give you advice on your deck, I need to know some things:
1. How would you like your deck to win? Options:
- Play fast good creatures, protect them. Win around turn 6-7.
- Disrupt the opponent as much aspossible, win with one massive threat around turn 20.
- Use neat stuff to sneak a massive guy into play as soon as possible, win around turn 4-5.
(- Not likely, but an option nonetheless: build a big army of small guys ASAP, attack hard and win around turn 5-6.)
2. Would you like advice on optimal Legacy lists, or are you on a restrictive budget?
(Important, because most here own most duals, fetch and other staples, and will give advice accordingly.)
3. Are you sure you want to play Legacy?
Legacy is expensive, and the level of play is very high on average. People who play Legacy invest a lot ofmoney into it, and because of that are usually also willing to support that investment by reading about the format extensively, playtest a lot and play a lot of competitive events. Starting MtG and getting into Legacy immidiately usually isn't a very good idea, because you are likely to get crushed a lot, which can make a massive dent in your motivation. Just putting this out there. It's a real thing.
With your three answers, I can help you design a deck that you will like, or at least point you in the right direction.
I really appriciate all the great comments, it has been a huge help!
@Asthereal:
Well i guess with this i would go for this:" Disrupt the opponent as much aspossible, win with one massive threat around turn 20".
I have made some changes and now it's like this:
2x Animate Dead
4x Duress
1x Damnation
4x Hypnotic Specter
4x Counterspell
1x Scion Of Darkness
4x Dark Ritual
4x Terror
2x Bribery
4x Diabolic Edict
1x Wrexial, the Risen Deep
1x Sphinx of Magosi
4x Megrim
4x Mind funeral
Now, what do you think?
Well i have a few duals, that i can use for the deck ofcourse
I would like to play Legacy anyway, it won't break my selfesteem and see how long it goes. I just need some experience aswel!
Well, if you want to win slowly, while disrupting the opponent, you will play a Control Deck. Strategy: you kill all opposing creatures, counter dangerous opposing spells, and try to draw additional cards yourself. You do this until your opponent runs out of dangerous stuff to cast. That's the moment you take over with a big creature or a planeswalker.
Cards that don't fit into a control deck are:
- Dark Ritual (quick card, fits better in fast strategies)
- Hypnotic Specter (gets killed quickly, fits better in fast strategies)
- Animate Dead (is more of a "combo" card, works well with Entomb, but that's not the strategy you want to play)
Cards in your current list that are very bad, and the reasons why:
- Megrim (not a consistent source of damage, better alternatives available, doesn't influence board state)
- Mind Funeral (bad as a wincon, doesn't influence the board state)
A lot of other cards in your list I wouldn't play, but just because I feel alternatives are better.
Let me post a quick list with cards that you could consider, if you want to play dedicated control:
Lands (24):
4 Mishra's Factory
2 Creeping Tar Pit
4 Underground Sea
4 Island
2 Swamp
4 Polluted Delta
2 Scalding Tarn
2 Bloodstained Mire
Disruption (24):
4 Force of Will
3 Counterspell
2 Spell Snare
3 Spell Pierce
2 Thoughtseize
2 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Innocent Blood
2 Doom Blade
2 Damnation
Card selection (6):
4 Brainstorm
2 Sensei's Divining Top
Planeswalkers (6):
2 Liliana of the Veil
4 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
We can discuss the sideboard later.
This list uses Brainstorm and Top to find answers you need. Counters, removal and discard attack the dangerous spells and creatures your opponent will have. The deck in the end tries to stick a Jace for card draw and later on the +2 ability to add Loyalty until you can eat the opponent's library. Liliana can be used to keep the board clear. I also added some lands that become creatures. These help as blockers for smaller guys, and as win conditions later (if needed).
Please have a look at each of the cards I mentioned, and keep in mind the strategy. You can of course swap cards for other cards that do roughly the same, but note that the cards I mentioned are pretty much themost efficient ones I know (except for maybe Doomblade).
Animate Dead is incredibly broken with Scion of Darkness though.
@Asthereal
It looks very good and it is definitely a strong deck but i can't really afford the Underground seas and the Force of wills. Isn't there other cards that can fit in for them?
