The idea is play a deck in a light combo metagame with silver bullets. Birthing pod transform any creature in 3x1 very easy.
I check the classic Nic fit pod variant and i thing is very slow. The deck usually plays high costs and bad creatures.
I think play all-star creatures that runs in every deck and the blue Shell of fow-brainstorm-ponder is more efficient than veteran-zenith-cabal (without probe).

I think you may have forgotten how Birthing Pod actually works, or at least not being able to go from 4-5-6 seems like a bit of an oversight/drawback
I would rather just play a real curve of creatures only up to like 5 or 6 with your endgame being Scarab God or Archon of Valors Reach or something
If your pod is online you should be generating enough value that Griselbrand is not needed imo, but I'd be interested to know how this plays
Also, a Dryad Arbor is probably good so you can start your chain if you don't have any creatures anymore but you do have a fetchland.
Eternal Witness, Thrun, Thragtusk/Sigarda Host of Herons ,Archon of Valor's Reach/Grave Titan, and Elesh Norn seem to be a pretty decent chain to get up to Grizz. Once you're dedicated to the value-train you're borrowing a lot from the Nic Fit approach. All of those cards are haymakers.

What's the scary combo? Podding Angler into Griselbrand?
Instead of going to all that trouble, why not squeeze in Kiki-Pod instead? Or Melira combo? It's a much easier to fit either of those combos into a Pod curve, without needing to use Anglers or Pod all the way up to 8. Griselbrand doesn't even win the game on the spot.
