Adrian Sullivan's Achilles' heel. I like his writing, but I'm glad he isn't doing coverage anymore.

Edit: Affinity on camera. Finally some nonblue action.

The looks on this McDuffie kid's face summarizes how I've felt having to watch non-stop coverage of Delver decks today.

How does the Staxx player bypass the opposing Bridge without blowing up his board? O-Ring effects?

I know I ran O-Ring in my build. Or if he's running Smokestack, he could just lock him under it.

Sourcer update at the end of Day 1:

    Akatsuki @ 8-1

    Einherjer @ 8-1

    Nitewolf @ 8-1

    Feline @ 7-2

    Parcher @ 7-2

    Oarsman @ 6-3

    Nightmare @ 6-3

    Stryfo @ 6-3

    Julian23 @ 5-3-1

Phelix (think this is you) @ 5-3-1

I don't know what the cutoff is for Day 2, but this is an enormous tournament. I just tracked the people I recognized. Please add to the list if you know others ...

Just found out three Atlanta people are undefeated 2 URW blade at 9-0 and a Jund man with main board chains at 8-0-1

    Also X-2 is the cutoff

Is the Jund guy playing a full set of chains or just 2x?

Hmmm, that's a tough cut. Makes sense, though, based on how huge the event is. Judging by the Round 1 standings, the turnout was 4,173 players.

If he doesn't have a way to tutor up the chains, which he likely doesn't, then really they're not part of the conversation I think. He might well have gotten matchups in which they were fundamental and also gotten them in hand in time to make that meaningful but that's a random event. Sounds like he's one of the lucky Junds that got full value out of the power level of the cards in Jund without suffering from the inconsistency the archetype is famous for.

I died really fast then started stalking sourcers. Got to introduce myself to Julian, probably creeped him out.

Top tables looked really interesting, sorry to hear the coverage was the same 3 decks
