Was just about to post it, but too slow. I literally can't wait for this GP. I am sure SCG will do a great job, heard nothing but good stuff from the last GPs, organised by SCG. This playmat is epic!

Is this an entry mat or is there a specific way to receive it?

Assuming it is like the modern GP, it is simply entry. I think even when they ran out of supplies they were sending mats to people. People may hate SCG for their business practices, but damn if they aren't awesome to customers .

I was at GP Richmond and it was, organization wise, the best GP I've seen.
When they capped their playmat at 2999, 3000 and up where shipped their playmat and token at SCG cost at their residence.
    That was pretty sweet.

Even if I can't go, I hope things go well (and from the sounds of it, SCG is laying the groundwork for that) so they can get GP Seattle next year too.

Between the artist list, the swag, and being run by SCG, I'm starting to tilt towards the GP side of the "do i go to GPNJ or Eternal Weekend" internal argument

GP Seattle will be run by Cascade Games and Channel Fireball. They're running GP Portland this weekend, so that should be an idea of what to expect.

They are on different weekends but I think for most people it's a matter of resources in deciding which to prioritize going.

Hotel booked and pre-registered, coming out of retirement for the playmat (and the artists...)

    Re: GP New Jersey

Hey, New York guys, I have a question. The weekend after the GP is my birthday, so I was giving thought to just kinda taking the week off and living it up. I've looked at enough maps and Googled around enough to know that I can get from the venue to the city (or vice versa), but I'm wondering how much of a pain in the ass it is. Whether it's easier on paper and whether I should book another night to depart Monday morning and whether this that or the other thing.

tldr: How to venue->NYC for dummies.
