[Article]Eternal Europe: Prague Eternal Legacy Edition

Well, Kai and Robert weren't the only ones playing Storm in Prague a week ago. This is my report:

Good thing you ran into that Julian dude.

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

It was a pleasure to meet you :)

< Saturday, round 7. And yes, the guy with the Star Wars sleeves on friday was playing my deck.
Though small correction on game 1, I think you started with Duress and I responded with Brainstorm, as I had two Force of Will. I hid one and you took the other, discarding the second with Cabal Therapy two or three turns later.

    @Julian: For sure! :D
The meme is missing a line though: Winning the match anyway? Awesome! ;p

@ScatmanX: Darn it, really? We need to coordinate better next time.

@mort- Pleasure here as well :) My memory was a little fuzzy on that one, though that was the first thought I had, too. However when I tried to reconstruct the game I was like "that doesn't make sense, why would he have kept a FoW to get Duressed away?" Is there a particular line you had in mind when keeping it in hand instead of hiding both of them (hiding CB maybe - I didn't write down the hand I Therapied, it seems as the game ended that turn)?

Well.. it was late and the double Plains put me somewhat on tilt. As I was writing the post above, I was also thinking that this can't be the right choice, no matter what I had planned :D So actually, I don't know. But the hand is in good memory.

I bring in the massive sideboard package of 3 Young Pyromancer, 3 Abrupt Decay, 3 Xantid Swarm for a Duress, a Cabal Therapy, 3 Lotus Petals, a Cabal Ritual, 2 Preordains, and the Swamp.
I'm pretty sure siding out Therapies while bringing in 6 potential flashback targets (more if you count Pyromancer tokens) - is wrong. Plus: Therapy is nice to take out CB before it hits the board and/or clear the way off Flusterstorms and FoW when you go for it.
