From Spain to SCg Worcester and Eternal Weekend with ANT (Cashing in all)

So this is a recap of the 2 past reports I posted on the ant post after the trunaments and also a new full report of the Legacy main event of the past eternal weekend in Philadelphia.

After organizing this all summer, Dario, jaime and me made it to the trip to the states to play at scg worcester and eternal weekend.

That was the List I played at the SCG.

Wasnt sure If with so many delvers and so may be 4 therapy would have been better. For next week Eternal weekend in philadelfia im going to play 4 therapy just to dont loose to this fucking eidolons.
Also Wasnt sure If I should play 2 fluster or 2 carpets of flowers, I sided the fluster vs omnitell, dredge and burn. But would only be used vs show and tell. May be I can cut it for next time. I was also thinking on sidding 2 more tendrills just for the candian, ur and burn matchup or may be ill gotten gains vs burn, but ended not so. Its cool t beat burn with like 2 mini tendrills just to survive.
Never played miracles so never used the krossan. I thoung on playing them vs omnitell but thught was just slow bullshit. I sided 2 decay vs the ur deck and where quite good. Destroyed a delver and a monastery but he topdeked a cruise and that got a bolt, a fow and another monadtery and I was dead.


UR 0-2
Counters, monastery and so. I decayed 2 of

his guys g2 but never got bussines.

Bgu discard with decay, goyf and bs 2-1
Win g1 easy,
G2 he misses on discarting my tendrills and

DRS it but casted 3 discards t2 followed by

Goyf discard, and antoher Goyf discard.
g3 I get a himn from him on my hand but have

top in hand and led in field. He makes

liliana discard and next turn with 2 leds and

infernal on top he is dead by nauseam.

I just go of g1 and he didnt sides for g2 so

magic easy

taxes 2-1
G1 He has revoker but I dont care.
G2 he had cannonist and Revoker, I didnt

cared about the played canonist was just

going to chain it away and combo thru the

revoker but he drew thalia and played her

instead of the revoker and never got there.
g3 I had a hand of massacre, one land and

mana. He plays some hatebears and I find no

bussines. The last turn before diing after he

hardcasted a batterskull from his mull to 5 I

draw infernal massacre him and he is dead.

omnitell 2-1
G1 I start with land something, he makes

ponder keeps, I cantrip again, He makes

ponder keep and that means he is gonna g of

next turn. So I draw duress and he forces it.

Im one mana short of going of without knowing

his hand. I pass he shows and tells and Im

dead.
g2 I mull to 4 and see myself dead. I had no

mana in my other hands and my 4 cards keep is

Delta, Xantid, Braisntorm and petal. I play

delta into trop into xantid. He plays land

go. I draw and play braisnstorm, gt a fetch

with it and pass. He fails to play a cantrip

of his second landrop and that goes on 2 more

turns, I drew a tresholded cabal and nauseam

so he is dead.
g3 he mulls to 6 and keeps a hand with 2

fows, ponder, show, omni, enter. He never

draws an land and 2 duress later he is dead.

burn 2-1
Was his first time playing legacy. G1 I just

plyed discard, cantrips and a sensei. And for

g2 he thought I was playing a weird control

deck so he missided. When I strated the combo

he was like: oh a combo deck, had not

expected it... So win g2 and he disnt even

sided. So I win g3 and he had problast in

hand but didnt sided his cages in.

For this mathup I sided out 2 sensei 4 duress and one land. I think I want the basis SO I shouls Side out 1 usea. Opinions?

g1 He breakthoughts turn 1 but dosnt get a

dredger so 2 turns latter he is dead.
g2 he mulls to 3 and still has 2 loothing and

led. He cracks the led and finds a golgary.

My hand is 2 dark ritual, nauseam, led,

delta. I play the delta and led and pass. He

dredges and makes nothing. So eot I just go

nauseam and he is dead on my turn.

g1 I know what Im against I mull and still

have a sketchy hand. He plays t2 eidolon and

thats the game.
g2 I make cool storm thing and he is dead

even having a mindbreak in hand.
g3 is prety weird I think I missplayed.
He goes mountain reliq, I make land

preordain. he goes eidolon. So on my turn I

make a ponder. Going to 17. see tendrills,

tropical, petal.
Next turn he suspends a rift bolt. And i

throw the game away. I could have won but

wanted to be mindbrak proof. And he needed to have double 3 damage spell and firebast. So I gambled there because I was afraid for the mindbreak. That was really bad and lost cause of it. I could with this setup gone this way:

Storm 10 GG top 8. Was to afraid he could havd mindbreaked the chain of vapor and lost cause of it. But later I should have just go for it because of him having 2 sb cards plus eidolon is just nuts and unbetable most of time.


SAD SAD SAD I did so bad this and throw it away.

For this matchup I sided g2 out my 4 duress and sided 3 of them in again for g3 coz of mindbreak.

Got 100 Shitty dolars and also lost the FM, but had lots of fun^^


I started all rounds excepto one and 3 times

in the evetn I topdecked infernal in my last

turn before loosing. Also my opponents made a

lot of mulligans and so.


After beieng a few days still sad because of throwing the game away we went to visit Boston and Dc and after that Philadelphia where we went to se the Liberty Bell and the rocky stairs we went to play the Trial.

Ended top 4 the trial. They ended giving the byes to the 1st and second because it was so late apart from other prices.

Played 2 carpets instead of fluster and also my second foil tendrills in side instead of the sensei.

G2 he has 2 drs and i cant win. He draws chain and eats both deathrite to cast a griffin and i decay him so i win.

G1 i just win
G2 he has 2 spheres and cast spells and destroys my lands
G3 he has thalia and sphere but he never cast a spell. I decay his thalia and chain on my turn the spehrre and win with natural chain + tendrills

R3 patriot
G1 he delvers and i get rid of all permision but on my last turn i fall to find a bussines and loose.
G2 i masacre him and after that he is dead
G3 he has 14 lifes. 2 delvers and is full taped. He just casted a tresure. Im at 11. I have. Therapy, massacre, infernal. Ritual. Led. And 2 lands. I try this line. Cabal him. Naming daze. Cast massacre he forces. I cast ritual and led. Then infernal for lethal tendrills. But he didnt had the fow. So i failed by one storm. And drawing a second ritual to just win. So he beats me with a meddling mage.

G1 im dead on his turn 2 ater i duress his NO and he topdeck glimpse
G2 i therpay on glimpse. He dosnt has it. And draws it. And im dead turn 2 again.

R5 renimator
He keeps: petal, carefull, reanimate, fow, ponder, griselbrand on the draw.
He goes petal study and fails to fin land I therapy the reanimate and he never finds a land and losses 2 turns after.
G2 he start seizing himself a griseel and keeped a 1 lander again. I therapy his exume. And he fails again to find land 2. Gg.

G2 i have 3x led. Swamp. Petal infernal gitaxian. I pray for no t1 discard. He plays ts and i never get there.
T3 he gets a t2 ad nauseam.

Top 4 vs elves (the one who beat me in swiss.)
G1 he got destroyed
G2 i have a ton of mana and discard.
He topdecks his random nullrod. My cantrips never find a bussines. And i end up loosing to his 3 damage a turn.
G3 i duress his surgical. And he has hoof and 4 more shitty cards. I win next turn if he dosnt draw a therapy. He draws it. Discards the infernal he saw. And i fail again to fin anothrr bussined while he has a symbiote, driad, bayou, drs and visinary going.

So end up without byes and a shitty 100$ store credit. This is sad. Because my opp always topdecked and blow me awaya with his best card 4 times. Sad sad

So lets see how is it tomorrow going. I havent seend much miracles so I think im gonna cut the grips for something cooler.

g1 I draw a slow hand but end up comboing
g2 He plays fat too much discard and permament hate and kill me with marit lage
g3 he want to make a turn 4 marit lage but im waiting with my chain of vapor on top to bounce it and thats just wins me the game.

I dont remember this round just that I won 2-1 and lost a game to him just atxking with too many swispear.

round 3 vs uwr blade with black spash
g1 after 22 minutes I get to combo his deck full of counters and with 6 delve cards.
g2 I see with a t1 gitaxian SLAUGHTER GAMES I try to fin a discard spell but when I do he has breanstorm and he removes my tendrills so I cant win. I keep playing at a normal pace but know he is not able to win fast so I will wait until he kills me. the turn before he ultimates with jace I cast spells to see his hand so I can sideborard acordingly. I didnt see medrlings or stp.
g3 with 10 min on the clock I know that his deck with so much disruption or I winn fast or I draw. There is no other option. So Because I didnt saw sword in his hand g2 I sided in the xantids.

round 4 against and asian guy with shardless
g1 I just roll over him.
g2 he is like dead but plays a shardless wich randomly gets a vision and that makes him get 2 force of wills with blue cards that kill me.
g3 I just chain of vapor his deathrite and a pif gets there

round 5 vs four color delver
g1 He just plays out as a rug and I get the win
g2 he starts with delver and then deathrite plus counters and so and I just loose.
g3 he mulls to 6 keeps a hand of:

but no land, e gitaxians me and didnt get land until his turn 4 where its a wasteland that does nothing, this gave me enought time to sculpt a perfect hand.

Round 6 vs esper blade
He says he just plays online and thats the 1st day he plays the deck and he goets 2-0 in like 15 min.

g1 i make a big mistake, he has force and 2 bolts. I have swamp island and fetch in play. plus duress, ritual, cabal, infernal, tendrills in hand. I duress him and get out the counter. then fetch for u sea and cast ritual, there I realize I can get hellbent for infenal and so I lost a ritual and a land to his wasteland and never get to recover.
g2 he wastelands me a lot and also starts hitting me with a black green sword. Im able to combo but never find a bussines spell and loose.

Round 9 vs death blade
G1 im able to combo after forcing his fow with notion thief but never find a bussines and loose.
g2 I had like 2 land, 2 massacre, 2 ritual, 2 petal and a led. He seizes me and sees the massacre, then he plays a DRs wich allows him to never more fetch for a plains and cast stonforge for black green sword. I dont find a bussined again and loose sadly.

Round 10 ur delver
G1 he just gets comboed
g2 he keeps a hand of like delver, pyromancer and 2 swifspear. So I feel ke keeped a hand with no counter just lots of creatures and pressure go for it and get there.

So I ended 22th or so and was super happy getting another 100$ wich makes my win in all the 3 legacy evetns 300$. As always with this deck it just looses to some back beats but im used and also some improvement in my play would have been game. I was sad that in all the 10 days I was in the us never faced a miracles deck in the tournaments just to test my skill against some players that are not of my group and know my playing plans vs them.


So amazing 10 days hollidays seeing great citys, knowing great people, also getting lots of cards signed and playing magic.

What alse can the heart desire?
