With treasure cruise, fair decks are now trying to cast many cheap spells per turn in order to
re-fill shortly after. Their one-mana spells mostly either just get more cheap cards, or do a few damage while
boosting swiftspears or pyromancers. So nowadays, both combo decks and delver decks are casting tons of cheap spells
per turn. The combo decks have reacted to the lack of spell pierces by trying to kill before the delver deck
can cast treasure cruise. These people are all packing gitaxian probes... the most evil card ever printed... we have to take them out.
So how about we design a deck that milks maindecking Ethersworn Canonists and maybe even some Eidolon of Rhetorics, taking out
both combo and delver decks? It will punish people for having lots of relatively useless cards stuck in their hand, and it will
have a long term plan as well.
4 Tropical Island
4 Savannah
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Windswept Heath
2 Forest
3 Dryad Arbor
4 Mother of Runes
4 Ethersworn Canonist
4 Scryb Ranger
3 Quirion Ranger
2 Tradewind Rider
1 Venser, Shaper Savant
1 Meddling Mage
1 Phyrexian Revoker
1 Stoneforge Mystic
1 Wilt-Leaf Liege
4 Brainstorm
4 Exploration
3 Horn of Greed
3 Sword of War and Peace
3 Chord of Calling
Sideboard:
1 Grazing Gladehart
2 Venser, Shaper Savant
2 Phyrexian Revoker
2 Meddling Mage
2 Eidolon of Rhetoric
2 Rest in Peace
4 Grafdigger's Cage
The concept could use some work. If you think about it, the Tradewind Rider can bounce something, you use a ranger to return an arbor to your hand,
replay the arbor, then use the rider again. You can really work the rider. Problematic cards like supreme verdict you can venser every turn by returning
him to your hand with the rider. If you've ever had a Sword of War and Peace equipped to a Scryb Ranger in most matchups, while your opponent has a bunch
of cards stranded in their hand... it is devastating.
Doesn't Massacre (combo) and Burn (Delver) Shatter the concept of build-around-Canonist?

I've found that you can very easily see massacre coming since they usually have to wish for it or something of the sort, and you just return your savannah to your hand. This delays them for a while, and you either equip the canonist with a sword, or you chord for the wilt-leaf liege.
Against delver, if you manage to get a single active mother of runes, then play out some canonists, they cannot keep up with the ranger/mom combo.

with no Exploration, Horn of Greed is way too much symmetrical
Since you're running Quirion Ranger, why not get a single Bayou and run Deathrite Shamans? DRS could probably put in a lot of work.
