I think the justification for Meddling Mage over Delver needs to be stronger in a deck with 8 cantrips and 30 instants/sorceries. "Delver is incredibly boring" doesn't count.

Good article otherwise though. Is Electrickery finally going to be a thing now?
I think the biggest thing is the deep seeded emotional understanding that the right play is the right play regardless of outcomes. The ability to make a decision 5 straight times, lose 5 times because of it, and still make it the 6th time if it's the right play. - Jon Finkel

Not mentioning Homeward Path while talking about your favorite card Humble Defector was a huge miss.

True-Name Nemesis is mostly a thing of the past with Monastery Mentor around though.
Considering the popularity of URx shells, that might be wishful thinking. Even then, it's hard to justify a Shock to hate on a 2-of.

Not bad. I kind of think Reality Shift is worth mentioning as a fringe blue removal spell, but I may be thinking too much about EDH. lol

.dk and I were discussing the renewal of Stifle-Naught with Manifest at GP Den, glad other people are thinking about it too. Coming up with cool ideas is easy, making actual lists is the hard part!

Most of the 'Ban brainstorm!' arguments are based on the logic that 'more different cards should get played in Legacy', as though the success or health of the format can be measured by the portion of cards that are available and see play. This is an idiotic metric.

I enjoyed seeing the comments in the article, particularly where people were complaining that Mentor "dies to removal." It's like people forget what that even means. The dies to removal test, properly phrased, is this:

Compared to other creatures in the format, can your opponent remove this creature easily and leave you with no value, or insignificant value?

Monastery Mentor passes this test with flying colors because, even if they target it with removal, presumably you can still arrange things so that you get a token or two with Prowess out of it. Heck, a counter war over removal will result in less removal in your opponents hand and some dorks in play for you.

Ideas are cheap! Ideas such as:

Counter-top + stifle + dreadnought + Mastery of the Unseen

    very very very cheap. :)
