Hi all, I'm finally almost done building RG lands and have a few questions. The main thing I'm looking for help with is finding a sideboarding guide for the deck. I have my SB built (listed below), but don't really know what should get brought in and out for each matchup. I've tried searching for some sort of guide about this but haven't been able to find anything yet. So if anyone could point me in the direction of a guide or could provide one that would be greatly appreciated.
SB:
1x Ancient Tomb
1x Chalice of the Void
4x sphere of resistance
1x Thorn of Amethyst
3x Krosan Grip
2x Tireless Tracker
2x Surgical Extraction
1x Warping Wail
Basically your sideboard falls apart in two categories: hatecards and counterhatecards.
1. Hatecards are against bad matchups, usually combo: chalice, sphere, thorn, surgical.
Sphere and Thorn as they reinforce the maindeck manadenial, especially strong against storm.
A 1-of chalice can be gambled for, also good against storm.
Surgical extraction is for graveyard combo (B/R reanimator, to some degree against PIF and dredge, also useful in the mirror), you can also gamble for and play it T1.
Edit: Tomb enables you to play haterocks T1 (crop for it), and accelerates your combo.
Against creatureless combo like Storm you usually side out your creaturecontrol, like Punishing Fire, Maze of Ith Tabernacle or Glacial Chasm.
Against (big) creaturecombo like B/R Reanimator keep Maze of Ith (in case they reanimated Iona or Chancellor).
Against small creaturecombo like Dredge or Empty the Warrens, keep Tabernacle and Chasm.
Against small creaturecombo like Elves or Infect, you already have a strong main gameplan. You can board in sphere-effects, but they will contradict with your other gameplan of recursive Pfiring or loaming (personally I don't).
You can also board in spheres against delver, but they will contradict here too. Maybe only on the play (but personally I don't)
2. Counterhatecards are there to beat specific hatecards (usually boarded in by fair and more favorable matchups, or against prisonlike decks as Bloodmoon Stompy ...):
Krosan Grip for artifacts and enchantments like Bloodmoon, Rest in Peace, Leyline of the Void, Pithing Needle, Back to Basics, Ensnaring bridge ...
Tireless Tracker as an alternative engine instead of loam, versus Rip, Surgical, but also as an alternative wincon when Depths is unavailable.
You can board out some silver bulletcards like Bog, Chasm, or a single Depths, gamble or even a loam for them.
Cards like Krosan Grip or Warping Wail are multifunctional. KGrip is also excellent against combopieces like Omniscience, Sneak attack, Painter, ....
And Warping Wail has the flex to counter combosorceries (Show and Tell, Infernal Tutor, Burning Wish ... ), kill a fairdeck's weenie (mom, DRS), protect Marit Lage from sacrificial effects or even accelerate the combo by generating a mana.
Often there's a third category too, dealing with problematic creatures (like mom, Prelate, Leovold, TNN, ...), like Kozilek's Return or Drop of Honey.
Need tips against UW Stoneblade with 4 TNN and a ton of basics!
I don’t have drops in the board...

If you have Trips, EE is solid there.
Chasm lock as mentioned (most UW Blade decks are light on Wasteland).
You want to bring in lots of Grips for their equipment (and try not to let them untap with SFM in play). Bring in Boseiju if you run it perhaps. CotV and/or GQing Plains cuts off S2P, and they'll have a hard time not dying to ML. Make the token on their end step, as Jace is more likely than Wasteland.
Best of luck!

In addition to all what's said, switching to combomode and making tokens until he runs out of swords and snapcasters works too. TNN racing your lifetotal to zero is a hard thing to accomplish while he needs to plow the tokens. I think the real problems against UW start postboard, as Surgical+Snapcaster can shut this gameplan down too.
I lost, but I am actually committing to playing RGCL for a little as I am usually a BGx Loam player. I’ll be back next week for more advise!

Oh man. I just posted a report where I lost to this exact deck in the finals. It's not easy without Drops!

Do you have a moment to talk about Primeval Titan?
I won this game a few turns later. ;)

Yeah.... mull to 5 and drawing like poop second game didn’t help. I think I might have had a chance or two to win the first game but he started with triple wasteland into my mull to 5, which slowed me down quite a bit.
I didn’t feel like I had no chance to win, just fighting uphill.

Next up.... I play infect on Tuesday!
Should be a much better match than against Uw stomeblade

Is there a replacement for DoH? I thought about Porphyry Nodes but the splash of white is just UGHH at best. I am headed to Seattle and looking for anyone that might have a DoH I could borrow I could have you hold cards of equal value if this was feasible.
Even with a white splash, Nodes will not be as reliably castable as Drop is.
There is no substitute per se. Engineered Explosives actually does Drop's work a lot better than Drop. But EE builds take space (you'll want a Trip p!us Academy Ruins), so you end up running a slower prison build that combos less quickly. Your combo matches will suffer, but most of your fair matches will improve (particularly against control decks)
