    Stats/Analysis - Results for major archetypes DC-Houston

    LINK!

/u/dafrk3in over on Reddit has been collecting deck information for all StarCity legacy events and using SCG's posted pairings to determine the matchup win/loss percentage. While it's worth noting that this data is based only off of the decks that he's able to confirm, he's usually getting a fairly large amount.

    A couple previews:

First, here are the records in non-mirror matches and match win percentages excluding draws for all archetypes with at least 20 matches against known decks, sorted alphabetically:

    Burn: 16-14, (53%)
    Death and Taxes: 48-49-6, (49%)
    Dredge: 22-17, (56%)
    Elves: 39-46-1, (46%)
    Esper Blade: 35-32-5, (52%)
    High Tide: 6-15, (29%)
    Jeskai Delver: 20-21-3, (49%)
    Lands: 11-10-2, (52%)
    Death and Taxes vs:

    Mirror: 6-6
    Elves: 2-5
    Esper Blade: 3-6
    Miracles: 7-6-2
    Reanimator: 4-0
    Shardless Sultai: 1-3-1
    Sneak and Show: 4-0
    Storm: 3-5
    Sultai Delver: 2-0
    Temur Delver: 1-1
    Other: 21-23-3
    Overall non-mirror: 48-49-6

Is Shardless BUG really THAT good against Miracles? 9-0 is damn impressive.

Apparently I should be playing BUG of some variety, those records are pretty impressive.

Clearly aimed at Modern plebs, not gonna be a pillar of our format.

If we go by pure win percentage, RG Lands would stomp everyone.

Nice win percentage for Lands. Although I was assured that there were no Tier 1 decks that get a lower volume of finishes because of things like expensive cards and play style preference..

skill level of Miracles players vary. BUG's ability to create raw advantages (including CA) and the capability to break out of CB are well known at this point.

Thanks for these data, they re very interesting. If you're going to do that and sum it up for numerous events, we will have a fairly good idea of every MUs, which is quite nice.

I believe it could even be the most reliable data we could have (if summed up with a lot of big events) about deck performancies.

    So, thanks a lot!

Some of the points over there, is pretty accurate I think, mainly the Miracles in relation to attritionmatches.

The MU is 60:40 in my experience (having played both sides of that MU a fair bit), with it actually getting a fair bit better for miracles post board

Also realize, that if the miracles player is bad, the deck loses to everything actually
