I'm off the blue plan myself now, but since you aren't playing Disrupting Shoal anymore, you could consider replacing Whirlpool Rider with Whirlpool Drake.
Disrupting Shoal is better than Force of Negation when against Containment Priest, so that is something to keep in mind.
Also, thanks for the list, kombatkiwi.

Somehow, I haven't faced Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus yet. Any tips on playing against them? I'm wondering when opponents usually/should pop them, how to consider Crypt in terms of Force of Vigor, etc. If they play it turn 1, do I Force of Vigor it right then? And I've heard that Gigapede helps against Crypt but I'm not sure how. thx
Relic's tap ability can straightup kill you if you don't have a Street Wraith or Phantasmagorian.
As for saccing Crypt/Relic you basically want to slowroll it and keep your hand full at all times so you can discard to hand size as soon as they pop it. More often than not it gets popped either before your first dredge or just after, which is premature in my opinion. An opponent that knows what they're doing should sac it as soon as the first trigger for whatever creature to return from your graveyard to the battlefield goes on the stack (so probably a Narcomoeba/Ichorid trigger). That way they get the most value whilst leaving us with nothing.
Leyline of Combustion is definitely worth talking about, that's now eight Leylines you can SB vs Storm and dropping multiple, different Leylines off of your starting hand is going to give Echoing Truth fits.
I have a small amount of main deck space and I think I want something that helps me against combo, either by making me faster or hampering the opposing combo deck.
I figure that I'm gonna do very well against fair decks, and I've done all I can against hate in the sideboard with things like Force of Vigor, so maybe I should think about combo, even though I don't really have sideboard space.
I'm brainstorming a list of maindeckable, or maybe not, cards that are good against combo. We already have speed cards like Street Wraith, Phantasmagorian, and the combo finish, and disruption in Cabal Therapy. There's also stuff in the sideboard like Leylines.
So far my list has:
Mishra's Bauble/Urza's Bauble and Gigapede for speed/business. Maybe Creeping Chill?
Chancellor of the Annex, Faerie Macabre, Unmask and Force of Will for disruption
Any other cards, or other ideas on options to improve positioning?
18th place in this weekend's MTGO Challenge:
Similar to mine, except I have -3 Chill, +1 Spy, +1 Shell, +1 undecided, and Serum Powder and Gigapede in the SB along with the Sickening Shoals and Force of Vigors.
// Creature (45)
2 Balustrade Spy
1 Flayer of the Hatebound
4 Golgari Grave-Troll
4 Golgari Thug
3 Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis
4 Ichorid
4 Narcomoeba
4 Nether Shadow
4 Phantasmagorian
4 Prized Amalgam
3 Shambling Shell
4 Stinkweed Imp
4 Street Wraith
// Sorcery (11)
4 Cabal Therapy
3 Creeping Chill
4 Dread Return
// Enchantment (4)
4 Bridge from Below
// Sideboard
2 Contagion
3 Faerie Macabre
4 Force of Vigor
3 Mindbreak Trap
1 Progenitus
2 Sickening Shoal
I'd want more than 15 green sources for Force of Vigor.
Has anyone tested the new version of the deck with Dryad Arbor + Hogaak Main and the green package of Force of Vigor, Reverent Silence and Land Grant Side?
Specifically, I am talking about this list from Orim67:

On YT there are some videos by Ewlandon and others playing the deck, definitely seems promising.
