    1 Island
    2 Underground Sea
    2 Bayou
    4 Polluted Delta
    4 Verdant Catacombs

    4 Dark Ritual
    4 Lotus Petal
    1 Chrome Mox

    3 Necrotic Ooze
    1 Triskelion
    1 Phyrexian Devourer
    1 Putrid Imp
    1 Griselbrand

    4 Shallow Grave
    2 Reanimate
    1 Exhume
    4 Entomb
    3 Buried Alive

    4 Gitaxian Probe
    4 Cabal Therapy

    4 Brainstorm
    4 Ponder

I saw some discussion re:GitProbe/Therapy vs. Thoughtseize/Therapy. What was the consensus? I never could find a resolution. Or is it still an ongoing debate? Also wondering if Collective Brutality and/or Unmask which see play in BR Reanimator have any place in the deck.

Not sure what to use as a SB with the meta in flux... ideas?

EDIT: I built this on MTGO and ran a few games. I'm so obviously a noob at the deck!! LOL
Drop the Exhume and go to 60 cards. It's fringe, but it might enable something BR Reanimator wants to do. Two Reanimate is enough where, funnily enough, casting your Necrotic Ooze from hand is usually a very powerful play. I'll regularly Ritual out an Ooze G1 blind if I have either Entomb, Buried Alive, or cantrips in hand.

    What Panda said.

A fast ooze is generally a huuuuge problem for the opponent.

Although I don't usually run it out if you're on the draw and see a red/white mana or red/white/black fetchland, because that might mean Bolt/Swords. If you've seen Probe, though, it's probably Grixis or combo so go for it.

Interesting. This is definitely a gear-switch from Reanimator/TinFins playstyle. Need to wrap my head around it all.

A T1 Ooze with Entomb in hand is a T2 win if not blocked.

Any concise rules-of-thumb regarding mulligans I should be aware of?

Keep hands with combo or one piece of combo plus U manipulation (i.e. Brainstorm or Ponder) or mulligan. When you start getting to five you can start keeping hands with only one piece of the combo or no pieces but U manipulation.

    Re: [PRIMER] Oozing

    3 Abrupt Decay
    3 Ground Seal
    2 Exhume
    2 Massacre
    2 Reverent Silence
    1 Duress
    2 Thoughtseize

    This was my sideboard before.

@panda, no more Massacre? I'm guessing that DnT is still not out of the picture, and can annoy us pretty good.

Pin, so you've done away with the cantrips like BR Reanimator did. Did you miss Brainstorms and Ponders?

New top for me, and lost the final in our local league with 20 players. I Will post a report.

    Re: [PRIMER] Oozing

Has anybody thought to try this deck as mono B with the Lake of the Dead / Grave Titan plan spliced into it?
You still keep the explosiveness with maximum copies of Petal/Ritual/Entomb etc, and then rather than trying to set up the combo with BS as a plan B you have the option of casting/reanimating Titan. The hardcast-ooze plan also improves with a more resilient manabase.

One problem with this idea is that unlike Reanimator/Depths, Ooze wants Shallow Grave over other reanimate spells for the 1-turn combo with Griselbrand, and Shallow Grave is not as good with Titan compared to Reanimate, Animate Dead, or Exhume. (1 attack with a 6/6 and making 4 Zombies is still nothing to sneeze at I guess). Maybe playing additional creatures can also mess up your graveyard order for Shallow Graves where you want to return something else.

Anyway, I look forward to the report. I'm curious as to exactly how you used that sideboard.

    Re: [PRIMER] Oozing

I finished at 4-3 in the challenge which wasn't very great but somehow almost got top 16...

The mentor plan was stupidly good. Play it. Even when they know it's coming, it's hard to play against. It also helps a ton in the chalice / leyline matchups. I beat Red stompy and 4c Loam (butakov) with the Mentor plan both post-board games.

Immediately after the challenge, I cut 3 Buried Alive and a Collective Brutality for 4 Ponder. Buried Alive was terrible except for 1 time when I had 5 mana turn 1 for buried alive plus reanimation spell, and Ponder plays better with the Mentor plan.

I also played the deck a bit on stream on Monday. A highlight included: on the draw vs D+T, entomb Triskelion in response to Thalia, then Reanimate it, then in response to Swords shoot Mom, Thalia, and Triskelion, then Reanimate it again. That was DISGUSTING and I eventually won that game. Not a game that TinFins could win realistically, as Thalia is super annoying G1. Post-board I ended up winning with Mentor.

If you're wondering how I produce blue mana, I copy my opponent's Island with Thespian's Stage

My Youtube and Twitch usernames are DNSolver.

    I am the Legacy metagame:

-2016 Eternal Weekend Europe won by BR Reanimator (I wrote the primer)
-2016 Eternal Weekend North America won by Turbo Dark Depths (I write about and develop the winning version specifically)
    -Refiner of Hogaak Depths.
