If I interpret Legacy as broadly as one can (i.e. including what used to be called extended) my favourite time was when I started playing.
1) The format was revolving around 8-land stompy and illusions-donate with some interesting other decks like counter-rebels.
I used to play a black-white homebrew with megrim/ensnaring bridge/anvil of bogardan and tons of discard/removal.
2) 2nd favourite (still extended) was the brief period of time that tinker was unbanned. You had an incredibly cool (and powerful) deck with a lot of silver bullets (I remember phyrexian processor) . It was the equivalent of the flash-era and although I had a lot of fun it was good that it lasted for very little time.
3) 3rd favourite is the thresh-goblins-solidarity era. Solidarity is probably the deck I loved the most. It's sad it will never come back :s
