Realistically, would a Reverse Painter's Servant with Devoid ruin anything? Sure, no NO or FoW or working protections, but would there be ways to actually abuse it?

Outside of Belcher trying it as an answer to Force I can not think of a way to abuse it.
Might work as a sideboard Hate-bear. Other things it could do...
    It stops Ichorid in Dredge
It would get around Mom and Crusader in D&T and Kor Firewalker/Dragon's Claw in Modern Burn.

It's better cause it can't be spell pierced/flusterstormed, but it also doesn't turn off spell peirce or flusterstorm (or daze).

Seems fair. No idea why they would print it though.

No I mean something in green/red/colourless to make it easier for Belcher to cast it.

I feel like it fits most in black actually.

I'm trying to think of the cards (actually played) in legacy that care about color. Aside from NO and FoW, there's Misdirection and the other pitch cards but I think the only other one that's really played in Pyrokenesis.

The blasts are obviously affected because they can no longer (effectively) target anything. With the surge of blasts being played lately, it's certainly a possibility but now you're sideboarding based on what you hope your opponent's sideboard plan is.

The only other cards that I can think of that check color are black.

There's several Black kill spells that require that their targets be non-black. If this gets played, does 1B unconditional kill (Doom Blade) start seeing play?

Along these lines, I think anything super powerful with Devoid's Servant would be something not currently in the format - time to go digging through gatherer!

Green Sun's Zenith, Mom, and all the Swords come to mind. Then there's random sideboard stuff like Dread of Night, Chill, Sulfur Elemental. Eye of Ugin would also get a pretty good boost since it would let you search up an answer to pretty much anything.
I think the biggest thing is the deep seeded emotional understanding that the right play is the right play regardless of outcomes. The ability to make a decision 5 straight times, lose 5 times because of it, and still make it the 6th time if it's the right play. - Jon Finkel

Wow, this has gone far down the speculative rabbit hole, considering we haven't seen any card like that.

Eye of Ugin wouldn't be so great since it only finds eldrazi creatures. Other marginally possible cards like Ancient Stirrings, and Dream Halls would also be affected.

    Edit: Noxious Vapors becomes Amnesia

Actually it only reduces the cost of Eldrazi, but it will find anything colorless:

Colorless Eldrazi spells you cast cost {2} less to cast.

{7}, {T}: Search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

Fresh spoiler from the World Championship stream:

The type of land for landfall can matter now, which is pretty interesting.

I doubt they would make multicolored cards that trigger from different land types (to be good with duals), but who knows.

I have messed with landfall enough to recognize that at five mana you just aren't going to have or want many lands falling after that

I've never said the card is good, since it's mainly a Limited card and maybe something for Standard. It's just an interesting take to make the land type matter.

Hopefully we get some cheaper cards with said mechanic that are actually good.

I'm very surprised we aren't getting a cute keyword for this like Islandfall, Plainsfall, etc.

While I like the effect, this kind of seems like it would be difficult to keep up with if you have multiple effects with differing land typeeffects.

Ugh, looks like there are still hedrons floating around all over the place...
I hope they don't ruin half the full art lands like they did last time.

At UC it would have been way too strong in limited.
