Wrote this a couple weeks ago, just came up today! Enjoy
You said true words. I approve.

That was a nice read. Shared it with my non source magic playing friends.
Should have named it "Secrets of Delver and the...".
The title is a bit misleading, I expected an analysis of Delver's chokehold on Legacy, something about how However good read. As a long time (devoted?) Canadian Thresh player I liked the "How To Play Delver in Several Easy Steps" part, although some of the points are up to discussion... as you yourself wrote.
Good article, thanks. The only thing I disagree with is that Hymn-Liliana BUG has a bad Miracles match-up. I tend to think of it as about even, possibly slightly in BUG's favor depending on the sideboard construction.
Of course, you are a hell of a lot better and more accomplished player then me, so you're probably right.

From everything I've heard from some of the most renowned Miracles pilots as well as my own experience, BUG Delver is a seriously favorable matchup. If you ask Philipp it's "a bye", which translates to anything between to "slightly to moderately favorable"
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
Good article, great tips as well. I think UR "burn" Delver can definitely do some damage these days.

Very good article but I think Grixis is still alive
Nice article. You certainly seem to know your Delver stuff.
There is one more reasonably common misplay that I would add to your list: Play spells/abilities before the attack step when waiting for 2nd main would have been correct.
I noticed you listed Infect among the winners of the DTT ban, reasons being a good Miracles matchup, and a bad UR/x Delver matchup.
I actually think both matchups are about even. Now that I think about it, Infect is a lot like RUG Delver in that it has no really good or bad matchups.
However, I do think Infect is soft to discard, much more so than countermagic. And if DTT ban means there will be much more discard in the metagame, this could turn out top be a net negative for Infect. Which goes to show that predicting metagame shifts from the banning of a single card is a complicated affair.

Nice article. As a non-U player I sometimes ask myself 'shouldn't my opponent do this or that': this article gives some insight in thinking-paterns.
Thresh is indeed a cakewalk (but is just my experience). Dark Depths happened. Check out the RG Combo Lands-thread if you are interested.
