Update: To measure interest, I've made a Google spreadsheet. Feel free to enter your Source forum name and Cockatrice name in the leagues you're interested to join (multiples entries are possible, but use common sense to not force you opponents to play at difficult times).

iamjellydonut is already running tournaments on Cockatrice, but with potentially different time zones and a tight working schedule under the week, I can't really participate right now. Waiting time between each round with several days each is also kinda meh. I'd love to play more competitive Magic again, but with MTGO moving even further away from Legacy with today's annoucement, options are bleak.
I'd to propose the idea of Legacy leagues. We could make several ones split into time zones (e.g. Europe, East Coast, West Coast) where you have to run through a rooster of other players at your own pace. Question is how to organize the whole thing? Maybe a Google spreadsheet? Where to make the cut-off? Is there going to be a Top 8?

Play 4 Card Blind!
Currently Playing
Legacy: Dark Depths
EDH: 5-Color Hermit Druid
Currently Brewing: [Deck] Sadistic Sacrament / Chalice NO Eldrazi
why cards are so expensive...hoarders
Would this be for prizes, or just for fun? If it's the latter I'm in, if the former it'll depend on the entry cost.
Death to the Reserved List. Long live Legacy.
Cockatrice name: dunkelzahn
Love it. Would like to get more regular legacy in.
Cockatrice: Bosque
I'm down. East coast.
I would be in,too, at least for a test run without entry fee ( Europe)
I'm in. Australian/New Zealand timezones, but can play against Eastern/Western US players, depending on the time of day they want to play.
I've made a Google spreadsheet where everybody who is interested can enter his forum and Cockatrice name. If you're willing to participate in different leagues, feel free to write your data into both league slots.

I'm down too. East Coast. Friday isn't great for me, but that might not be a big issue.
In!
If this goes over well I'd be interested in Vintage too.
Interested, living in UK time zone. I've been put off by tight deadlines and other difficult time zones in the past. No idea how to play on cockatrice but I could learn. Can't commit yet but defiantly interested
Interesting.
Could something along those lines work :
Select the current 8 "tier 1" decks (ala tcdeck), then from sub-groups and assign matches : player A on archetype 3 vs player B on archetype 7. (just an random idea).
Each month refresh top 8 decks, and top performing players in sub-groups all gather into the same group, average performing players into another group, etc.. kind of sports leagues system (rewarding better overall legacy plays)
Fun to play legacy in any form ;-)
Very interested after the holidays, Jelly's one went well and I'd be willing to enter the next one.
I'd be fine paying entrance fees, but probably best to do the first league as free trial run for the whole thing.
Thank you for taking up the initiative :)
UK time zone
Just saw this!
This would be great.
I will fill out the spreadsheet this evening when I'm home.
I'm on the East Coast...
(Starting after the New Year best for me. Hosting Christmas this year and will have family in town for a good while)
I would be in, but you have to be gentle, I'm a cockatrice virgin.
