Hey guys,
they published my very first pre-recorded Daily Event video with Elves. It has has a couple of comments of on deckbuilding in current Legacy.
Check it out on http://mindsportsacademy.com/Article...0Julian%20Knab
Hope you're enjoying my matches against a couple of fancy brews :-)

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
"Without wanting to belittle some of the people I played on my way back to a somewhat acceptable record, I was handed at least a game almost every single round. Be it someone miscounting my mana, trying to counter my Elf which had been cast with Cavern of Souls, or the Burn player missing a match-winning Barbarian Ring activation: Magic is still very much a game of skill - or in this case, a lack thereof."
Good job on the not belittling people. Sheesh. That's just rude, man.
No it's not. It's honesty to other people. If he was sitting there making fun of the guy for screwing up, that's rude. Pointing it out to the guy though, I'd still not feel that's rude because he's informing him that he had an out (and the guy will remember that forever.)
Even if he's embarassed, I know every time I've goofed on side boarding or casting something stupid, I remember it and correct the behavior.
How does someone miss a Barbarian Ring activation? Isn't that the reason it's in the deck and not another basic Mountain?
Edit: Ah, it's MTGO. Carry on.

On a different subject entirely, I for one am very pleased to have this in a readily available, pre-recorded form. I'd never be able to watch a stream due to time zone differences, and this format solves not only that problem, but potential connectivity issues as well. I don't even play Elves, and I still enjoy watching Julian pilot the deck.
Well, that's embarrassing for the Burn player. Barbarian Ring is strictly worse than a basic Mountain if you're not going to use it. Yeah, I saw "Legacy Daily Event" in the headline and was in a hurry, so I assumed it was MTGO. My bad. I probably should have withheld my comment until I had time to read your report. Better luck next time, Julian.
More of this sort of content please! Very nice.
