A Batterskull hit would also turn it on, but then again, you already an active Batterskull at that point.
3x Ooze (or 2x + combat damage) would flip it, too. Or combat damage + DRS life gain.
Lone Rider has lifelink, so you can make it work with pump effects like Mutagenic Growth or Rancor.
Edit: 2 life from a Deathrite Shaman would work too.
They already call him Meme Rider, in the end its a guy that gets beaten buy Squire.

Tree gone bad
I wondered how the new Tree could be abused best, but then I remembered Triskaidekaphobia is a thing.
Awesome.
Probably too expensive and slow to be Legacy-playable, despite being a two-card combo, but might see play in Standard and Modern.
It's in within the spectrum of what Nic Fit can cast... And the tree can't be wreck by Bolt/AD. So vs. decks that run white just use Sylvan Safekeeper to protect it.
Probably too much The Danger Of Cool Things but a guy can dream, right?
If I have 2 fetchlands in play, you cannot win with this combo this turn.
There are probably Necrotic Ooze piles. In legacy Triskelion/Phyrexian Devourer is better.
Looking forward to the evil snapcaster mage that can cast creatures, artifacts and enchantments from the graveyard for a turn!
So if I have that Tree, tap it while holding priority, and cast Transmutation/Twisted Image on it, do I win the game?
No! No way to kill someone with tree!

redacted. Edit: see rules on exhanges brought up by future posts ~i.e. Goblin Welder
It is not great, but probably more abusable with Skill Borrower and anything that does 3 dmg.

Rather easy to flip, but I wonder into what deck it could fit in since the cost reduction probably doesn't matter for most Legacy stuff.
A new Storm variant? It's extremely aggressively costed, and that flip-side is a beefier version of Goblin Electromancer. The fact that it's a creature and it dies to AD is a bit of a problem, though.
EDIT: Another card the seems aggressively costed is this:
Stitcher's Graft (name unconfirmed)
Artifact - equipment (R)
Equipped Creature gets +3/+3
Whenever equipped creature attacks, it doesn't untap during it's controller's next untap step.
Whenever this becomes unattached from a permanent, sac that permanent.
Equip
The thing going for Electromancer is that he works right away. In Modern Storm that's useful even if he is breakable. It means you can hold him in hand and use him on one powerful turn.
This guy will likely see some play, but it's not the same.
