Is RB reanimator or UB Reanimator better?
Both seem fun, but there is a noticeable price difference. Also wondered which can be more consistent?
Rb is fun like how Belcher is fun. Very little interaction, but very fast.
Ub is slower, sometimes requires some setting up.
Both have a similar end game. The one with brainstorm and sometimes people Ponder is more consistent.

Beforehand, I am no reanimator player, I played versus reanimator at tournaments [both versions] so I can only give you insight from what I noticed as the opponent.
The way I see it, the UB variant has a better plan B, going show and tell into the fatty. -this strategy becomes more important after G1-
The RB variant is more of an all in version of the deck. It tends to just go for it, whereas the blue shell players tend to be somewhat more patient as they have the possibility of backing up their play with countermagic in hand.
Its thus, in my eyes, easier to hate the RB version after G1.
The last time I faced it was last month at my shop with enchantress, G2 I added a surgical extraction which basicly won me the game as he tried to go off turn 1 into a Siren of Insanity. While looking through his deck I noticed he had 2x the Siren, 4x Griselbrand, Tidesprout Giant and one more non legendary creature I can't remember.
When playing versus it online an opponent went for the Siren vs my DnT, I topdecked STP, removed it and we both started goldfishing after that point.
I guess its part personel preference/playstyle. If you are agressive, and leaning more towards Belcher/Oops style play go the RB. If you want to be more robust and have a -decent- plan B go UB.
UB Reanimator can run FoW+Daze for protection and is able to sidestep graveyard-hate with SB S&T. No contest imo

UB Reanimator is better in theory, but hasn't put up any results lately.

This could be due to how many people field the deck and place, but BR Reanimator is still very prevalent - and placing. UB just isn't out there. It's hit by all the same hate plus it gets hurt by being slower - Deathrite Shaman, prevalent in all the BUG lists running around.
I think you're fine to start with BR and transition to UB, if that's what you're getting at.
Now that 1/3 of the decks play Deathrite SHaman in the main, BR has a huge boon over UB in being able to combo faster than DRS gets active. There's no doubt that BR is also popular because it's cheaper, but the results in top8 show that it's more than just the money, as it has even warped sideboards towards faster gravehate (like Surgicals or Faerie over RIP in D&T).
BR-hybrids can play Show and Tell too, dropping the red for a blue-splash, only for Show and Tell (like this deck). Basically it's still BR REA, as it has dark ritual, chancellors and way more creatures and reanimations spells for consistency, and on the other hand lacks Force, Daze or cantrips. Limdul's Vault as a sidecard is really nice along with the S&T's.
B/R Reanimator is just the better deck..You are faster + more consistent. Also you have 8 disruption spells(basically protection and dont forget chancellor) and with a good boardingplan you can play around the hate..
And some people might say it's like belcher but that's just wrong. If you know how to play it, you will do alot of good results. ;)
I think it's an example of people realizing that sometimes cantrips just make the fast combo deck a bit too durdly.
I played a lot of U/B Reanimator, and while I loved having access to a massive permission suite (some combination of Daze/ Force of Will/ Spell Pierce, with Thoughtseize and sometimes Duress), it's not like I could ever expect to win counter wars against Delver anyways. Trading permission for a half a turn or so seems like a fair trade, to get under Death and Taxes and Deathrite Shaman if nothing else.
Apropos of nothing, I just watched a few videos of "pros" playing B/R, and their plays were so ridiculously stupid I stopped watching.
—T1 Reanimating Griselbrand against D&T with an Inkwell in the deck
—T1 pitching Thoughtseize to Unmask (TARGETING THE OPPONENT) with a land, Entomb, Reanimate, and Chancellor in hand.
I'm bad at Magic, and I just can't wrap my head around this idiocy.
