If a nonbasic land has an ability that applies "as [this land] enters the battlefield" or that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped or with counters, the land will lose that ability before it applies. This is a change from previous rules.

Dark Depths just got a big power up against Blood Moon.
Yes applies to Humility effects as well.

Only relevant thing I can think of is stuff like Endless One and Walking Ballista now don't get counters under a Humility. Stuff like Revoker, TNN, Painter's Servant now no longer get their naming/color and won't work under the Humility -nor- after the Humility gets removed.
Also note, Overwhelming Splendor has similar effect. Only deck I can think of that runs that one is nic fit variant with Academy Rector.
Edit: fixed, they enter as blank 1/1's.
Crack the earth You can play blood moon depths now.
don't forget:
Soldevi Excavations
Balduvian Trading Post
Lotus Vale
Scorched Ruins
Lake of the Dead
Kjeldoran Outpost
Play magus turn two, Lotus Vale turn 3 and sac the magus... now a real red ramp
If you can afford splashing white, angelic purge seems good too.
There are plenty of options to get around that, aside from Smockstack, e.g.:
Claws of Gix
Jinxed Ring
Oblivion Stone
Ugin's Construct
Claw of Gix is probably the best and fastest one.
Moon Depths?
8 Moon
4 Chalice
4 Mox Diamond
10 Ways to Kill your own Moon
10 Other?
8 Sol Lands
8 Mountains
4 Dark Depths
4 Thespian's Stage
Chaos warp, snokestack
-rob
I'm not sold on only having 4 wincons and being a sitting duck otherwise with no library manipulation.
Expedition Map would be good to find either way of the land combo, but clashes with Chalice. Making the deck R/G with access to stuff like Sylvan Library, Sylvan Scrying, Life from the Loam etc. and maybe some GSZ package for utility (and getting rid of Blood Moon via Reclamation Sage)?
Maybe this is just because I've never played a deck with more than one copy and I've never seen it get copied, but I didn't know that playing a second Elesh Norn would give all opposing creatures -4/-4 (and friendlies +4/+4, for what it's worth) before one Elesh died. Is this a change, or was it always like this?
Apparently it has been always like this - which makes sense, considering the dupe Elesh Norn and the opponent's creature's die at the same time due to state-based effects.
It's just that the case of two Elesh Norn never comes up because most people only play one copy.
if you are going the blood moon route, why not just bounce it instead of sacrificing it for use later?
chain of vapor among others.... plus you can do it on their turn and get the lage and be able to attack on your turn.
Or Flickerwisp, and Magus of the Moon already sees play in D&T sometimes. Maybe there's a D&T version featuring Marit Lage out there.
If you're in a position where you have Blood Moon in play, do you honestly want it to leave play against ~80% of the decks you'll face?
Let's just think about this for a moment.
