Recap on the history of Miracles

The memory goes back to as early as 2012.

I just don't recall any recordings or anything relevant prior to this. This is before the Legend rule change. Lossett has been doing this since 2012, maybe earlier.

After that, Philipp Schönegger posted a trolling post with photos of "his" playing Sneak and Show, and then Top-8 with Miracles at GP Paris on 2014.

Then he Top-8 at GP NJ. This was the period of Treasure Cruise on 2014. Fine, we got to see how Tom Ross doing his trademark infect thing and dream-crushed Miracles.

One interesting match/feat was Marc Konig's DnT, this was in Richmond, right after GP NJ.

After that, the Euro-swag got crushed in GP Lillie on 2015. This was during the DTT era. Daze Mentor by Claudio Bonanni appeared to got the job done.

Japan held GP Kyoto, which had a Miracles final, the Legend build defeated 4 Mentors build. To make the commentary interesting, Julian did the work.

One memorable moment was how fast Miracles got crushed by Lands at GP SeaTac on 2015.

2016 had the Eldrazi Winter to begin the year. By GP Columbus, Lossett managed to get to Final, but lost to Infect.

After that, fast forward to Prague 2016. I had to say, the Miracles player who got into the final was the least impressive. It was more so Miracles player playing bad than the Storm player playing well. Of course, Togores is a genius, but if one objectively looked at the footage, the Miracles player definitely dropped the ball. You be the judge.

Oh yeah, there was GP Chiba 2016, the one Sneak and Show crushed Miracles in the final. That was the last one you would see Miracles on GP camera. Wizards certainly did not want to stream Legacy or Miracles in Louisville.

Never mind, the official last one is probably SCG Worcester 2017. Thank you Kassis for the nail on the coffin by mentioning SDT should be banned in your victory speech, you definitely did not ruin it for everyone.

This is the first time the deck was in a top 8 at an SCG event, Orlando May 20, 2012, two weeks after Terminus and Entreat were available. Shawn French was the pilot. The deck was gaining traction in Europe before americans picked up on it. This is some of the earliest footage of the deck soon after the Miracle mechanic was created. Not very interesting since he gets demolished by dredge, but there it is.

There's also a few other SCG top 8s with the deck in 2012. I doubt Joe Lossett has been doing this before 2012 since Terminus and Entreat the Angels were printed and tournament legal early May, 2012. Here's one of him winning a tournament with it in Aug 2012.

Here's from June 2-3 2012 at Origins that got 3rd place (He didn't like my Sundering Titan ... Only reason why I know the Miracles deck was at this tournament). The deck was being piloted by Michael Belfatto, just one month after the set was legal for sanctioned play.

It's listed as UW Control and didn't have Counterbalance, but it played several Miracles cards and SDT, the deck has had an immense amount of change before it morphed more into what we would consider to be a more "Miracles" list, but but this was the beginning.

I played some transition from UW Control to early Miracles beginning of May 2012 and got second at the 68 people monthly in Iserlohn (Germany). At the same weekend there were 4 people placing well with similar lists in Europe at some of the bigger monthlys, whereas 6th Place in Iserlohn switched deck before the torunament because of my recommondation. Fun times, when you had to play chill because of Burn and Goblins and Glacial Fortress against Choke.
