Could 'Creatures Only' be a viable option? First brew.

Hi there - and thanks for having me!

Having played nothing but blue for years, I'm keen to try something new. Green, stompy and full of hate.

I started with the 'Noncreature spells cost more to play' package, then added green for ramp and recursion, then filled the rest with what I think is goodstuff. Is this at all viable, or is it always going to be strictly casual and just not that good.

Here's the deck - any feedback much appreciated!

Usually "creatures only" decks take the Ruric Thar, the Unbowed path, so this is an interesting take on that theme.

    A couple thoughts:

Did you consider Vizier of the Menagerie at all? Since you're like 66% or so to hit off of it it might be a nice source of card advantage. The mana fixing aspect could also be useful in you've been having an awkward draw.

It isn't a creature and therefore not really on theme, but Primal Surge takes your deck and puts it into play for 10 mana. It would probably be better with Concordant Crossroads and Craterhoof Behemoth, but both of those are also decent options.

I like the challenge. In fact, I'm pretty envious that I didn't come to this idea myself.

I'd play the Primal Surge. And then maybe Sylvan Library and Aura Shards, as those are cards that survive the WoG and help you tremendously. Unless you'Re creatures-onlypurist, I'd try a small Enchantment package, it might be fun and it adds another dimension to the deck.
