TuskTalk: Episode 19 | 9394 Oldshool Magic w/Danny Friedman from Lords of the Pit!

***EDIT: There is a point where Song of the Dryads interaction with Jace and Thespian Stage is noted (copying enchanted Jace with stage). Although a judge told me this works due to layers, Sean O'Brien from Team Tusk noted that it would enter with no loyalty counters. If you Song of Dryads a plainswalker and use Vesuva to copy the plainswalker that will copy counters as well due to vesuva getting ETB trigger.***

This cast is focused on 93/94, but thought I would still share here. If you have any interest in the format, its a solid cast. Danny is awesome. Cheers.

Welcome to another episode of TuskTalk with Team Tusk. Today we have Evan Nyquist (HymnYou) from Team Tusk with Chicago Mage Danny Friedman from the Lords of the Pit Club. This cast is focused strictly on 93/94 aka Oldschool magic. Danny is one of the few people that have equal or more enthusiasm for this greatest magic format. Chicago’s scene has grown tremendously, and Danny brings his knowledge to the table, experiences and overall format knowledge. We dig deep into the format and some of Danny’s recent adventures including Noobcon, Chicago Invitationals, and upcoming premier event: The Oldschool Player’s Ball. This cast goes deep into the format from a lot of angles, but tried to keep it approachable for those new to the format.

Great podcast you guys. 93/94 and the Old School variants in general are amazing.

Got to listen to this on my drive to Houston this weekend - good episode!

You guys should have a blast at the Old School Ball. Chicago's a great city, and Revolution's a solid brewery. Considering Team Tusk's love to red meat, I'd recommend grabbing dinner at Au Cheval while you're in town; their burger is easily the best in the city (though Kuma's is also awesome and might be more thematically appropriate).
