Ran the same list as last time but put 4 bolts in the sb on twitch.
Lost 1 match due to an unlucky act on impulse (with bonus round)
death's shadow (2-0)
mono counterspells (2-1)
dnt (2-0)
storm (0-1, then he scoops)
titanpost (1-2)
eldrazi (2-0)
dredge (2-1)
https://www.twitch.tv/m1stercakes
list for reference:
// 60 Maindeck
// 12 Artifact
4 Lotus Petal
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Ruby Medallion
// 11 Instant
4 Seething Song
3 Desperate Ritual
4 Manamorphose
// 15 Land
3 Sandstone Needle
4 Ancient Tomb
8 Mountain
// 22 Sorcery
1 Hazoret's Undying Fury
3 Reforge the Soul
2 Past in Flames
4 Burning Wish
3 Rite of Flame
4 Act on Impulse
4 Bonus Round
1 Ignite the Future
// 15 Sideboard
// 2 Artifact
SB: 2 Tormod's Crypt
// 5 Instant
SB: 4 Lightning Bolt
SB: 1 Abrade
// 8 Sorcery
SB: 1 Rite of Flame
SB: 1 Tendrils of Agony
SB: 1 Fiery Confluence
SB: 1 Empty the Warrens
SB: 1 Grapeshot
SB: 1 Past in Flames
SB: 1 Hazoret's Undying Fury
SB: 1 Echo of Eons
i'll probably change the abrade to a by force
maybe reforge could be something else, they seem to be the weakest card in this build. i'd consider running the 4th desperate ritual and adding 2 more ignite the future, or 1 ignite and 1 maindeck bolt. reforge does steal a lot of games, that's why it's still in the deck.

Hey there. This is what I'm currently rolling out:
// Rubies!!
// maybeboard: pirate's pillage, collective defiance, star of extinction, seismic spike, anger of the gods, tormenting voice, fight with fire, reign of chaos, pillage, primitive justice
// 60 Maindeck
// 8 Artifact
4 Ruby Medallion
4 Lotus Petal
// 2 Creature
2 Simian Spirit Guide
// 12 Instant
4 Manamorphose
4 Seething Song
4 Desperate Ritual
// 14 Land
12 Mountain
2 Sandstone Needle
// 24 Sorcery
4 Bonus Round
4 Rite of Flame
3 Past in Flames
4 Burning Wish
4 Act on Impulse
3 Reforge the Soul
2 Empty the Warrens
// 15 Sideboard
// 2 Artifact
SB: 2 Defense Grid
// 13 Sorcery
SB: 1 Empty the Warrens
SB: 1 Grapeshot
SB: 1 Past in Flames
SB: 1 Goblin War Strike
SB: 1 Tendrils of Agony
SB: 1 Fiery Confluence
SB: 1 Banefire
SB: 1 Lightning Surge
SB: 1 Hull Breach
SB: 1 Pirate's Pillage
SB: 1 Cave-In
SB: 2 Pyroclasm
I like having a versatile wishboard to deal with various scenarios that crop up. Glacial Chasm can be got around with Banefire, or tendrils. Bonus round into wish allows us to fetch out fiery confluence and lightning surge for a cool 20 damage if our opponent hasn't gained any life. I think if anything, I'd slash empty and warstrike out of the 'board because if we want to wish for 2 cards, the surge/confluence should do the trick. But what to replace them with is the question. The grids help against countermagic, and pirate's pillage is good utility for desperate situations or when we've wished prior to going off. What do you think guys?
I highly recommend trying out lightning bolt. It's not a perfect card if you are goldfishing, but against real opponents it has a very meaningful effect.
What are you finding yourself weak to?
I'm also not sure if it makes sense not to have a rof in the sb along with some other powerful card, so that you can wish into both post bonus round.
Right now if you have bonus round + wish, you need a lot of mana to do something meaningful.

I dislike playing against interaction. Things such as discard and counter magic make things difficult. I just lost to RUG delver, for example. If the opponent has no interaction, I'm much likelier to go off and win.
Yes that's how magic works. Not sure what you want me to say here.

I was just wondering if Torbran, Thane of Red Fell has been discussed and tested. To me it looks like a red Tendrils of agony. It costs 4, comes down at sorcery speed, and adds 2 damage for every spell cast if u follow up with grapeshot. In a pinch you can attack with it for a beatdown plan too (cast 2 spells grapeshot attack is already 13 damage). Against 2 fetch and a force of will you will have your opponent on lethal for next turn.
I can also see
Land, Ritual ritual petal torbran grapeshot, deal 15, next turn attack for 4.
Torbran, Thane of Red Fell seems win more, and not necessarily better than Guttersnipe, nor Sentinel Tower. Not sure the guy does enough on his own. The Grapeshot trick is the only real benefit, maybe cast him and have some EtW goblin tokens deal 3 a pop.
But I was really wrong about the new enchantment, could be wrong about this guy too.
Aside from attacking, this guy has no benefits over Pyromancer's Swath. It was an older win condition for Extended/Modern Storm before PiF was printed. It's one mana cheaper and even works with Lightning Bolt, which I am currently running in my LED-less build. However, I think Guttersnipe is much more reasonable out of the sideboard.
With Bonus Round I have won a few games with Lightning Bolt alone, which I think is a better inclusion in general for the deck. It kills hatebears like Thalia and Gaddock Teeg and makes Grapeshot wins deterministic.

Ignite memories I thought was an interesting way to still win if an opponent casts chalice for 2. You can act on impulse into stuff, preferable with bonus round already online. then cycle through your deck, make a ton of mana with seething song, and then cast ignite. This saves you from the grief of having your goblin monkeys blocked (I lost a game to eldrazi after making 10 tokens on turn 1, go figure), or just straight plague engineered, which I think is more likely. I do have a question about guttersnipe. I happen to own a playset but since I don't run the sol lands, sticking it on t1 seems unlikely. Which is what I noticed in your livestreams, m1stercakes. I've also considered sentinel tower as another wincon, but getting 4 mana seems less likely than having some ruby medallions out to help facilitate ignite memories. Also, I find that veil of summer makes us A LOT more competitive with force of will decks, and discard decks, which I was having a lot of trouble with before. Yes, we can get wastelanded from time to time, but in my opinion veil takes this list up a notch. It could be tier 2 I think. Thoughts?

Oh that's great to know. I'm also trying out paradise plume and sentinel tower. They're a little expensive mana wise, so I may try out some sol lands. Paradise plume I thought could buy us some time against midrange. And tower just wins the game if they let it resolve.
Does Ruby Storm care about the new Underworld Breach?
mistercakes posted a few lists on the previous page.
mistercakes: did you ever try out Guttersnipe out of the SB in the Underworld Breach lists? Having a GY based G1 strategy, then taking out GY stuff for 4x Guttersnipe in G2 seems powerful on paper to "avoid" opposing GY hate?
Haven't tried any breach lists.

Based on a quick goldfish test:
1) MD 1x Grapeshot might be legit, since we can just focus on filling the graveyard a bit and then escape cast Grapeshot a few times in a row with Underworld Breach FTW. No need to splash blue for Brain Freeze or anything.
2) Bonus Round Active
Underworld Breach on the table
Cast Faithless Looting to discard 4
...fun stuff happens, since you can now exile 3 to escape cast 1. So many different ways to keep the momentum going that it feels ridiculous.
Oh I have goldfished it, I meant no real play.
I'm not super interested in using the card. I'll wait a few weeks and see if it will be banned before giving it serious thought.

I did try breach for two leagues, card is good in the deck, but it's better in other decks is my verdict. I did play it along side LEDs, 1 brain freeze and 2 gamble to have a better chance of abusing it. But in the end i don't think it is what the deck needs.
thanks, i think that's probably true. i think breach is more of a redesign kind of deck.
