Seems like a very very very good match up for storm. No clock, no CB. Rip em up with discard and wreck them with PiF

Here's the thing. There're no Storms in the Top 64 of a 2000+ Legacy tournament, and that's not because of the new Miracles, at all. If Storm just cannot perform well for whatever reasons, do you really need to focus on new Miracles, when you have bigger match-up problems elsewhere? New Miracles as a whole, is no longer popular, some would argue it's not even that competitive. Grixis and lands have much bigger targets.

This guy sure does put a lot of stock into a single event where Storm had a target on its head.

My win percentage on mtgo has been 70% for the last three weeks, which is fairly impressive. According to mtggoldfish, Storm is the third most represented deck and Miracles is the seventh (1% off of being the fourth) most represented deck. Both of these are decks that the metagame should consider. For what it's worth, it's funny that you mention Lands, because it's behind Miracles in the represented decks – in a reality where Tabernacle is much more affordable.

Your post wasn't constructive at all.

Ignore him, we purposely trained him wrong, as a joke.

The fact is that new Miracles vs Storm is quite heavily in Storm's favor, no matter ANT or TES and it often boils down to how much the New Miracles pilot will respect storm. Stuff like Canonist/multiple countermagic is readable and interactable, but can also be seen coming. It's an ebb and flow of what hate pieces to play around, and this article does an excellent job of describing the dynamics of the matchup. All in all, a great piece of writing, and definitely helpful to those trying to understand how the matchup plays out from both sides.

Since we're putting so much stock into Vegas, how did you do?

I guess twndomn was right. Miracles is bad and no one is playing it.
