Out of order sequencing, and Takesies-Backsies are for small local events, not GPs. I get that it feels bad to screw up, but is it too much to ask that we play by the freaking rules at a Grand Prix?

The out of order sequencing rules apply in all tournaments, but they require that the actions constitute a "batch" without a significant pause between any of them. Based on the side of the story we heard, this wasn't that. This is just clearly a missed trigger, since triggered abilities that require a choice of modes and/or targets have to have those choices made before their controller passes priority. Putting the Daze in the graveyard shows that this guy passed priority.

Agreed. But rules doesnt seem to apply if the judges dont want to. Another reason I quit tournament magic long time ago. It has basically become who cheats more. And I would have tried to get my entry back in that situation. Its fraud.
