regarding that wish, it also doesn't exile itself like the old ones.
This card actually seems incredibly interesting for combo decks. It's four mana, sure, but it's also whatever you need it to be. I don't know that it replaces Burning Wish anywhere, but it might give some combo decks that don't run Wish an interesting option.
Color me cautiously intrigued.
EDIT:
I'm puzzled by this comment. The name is a deliberate shout out to Blood Moon because the two cards are broadly similar. What would you have had them call it? Moon Erasure? Blood Lock? Blood-y Hell My Lands Don't Work?
If you're just going to engage in reflexive WotC-bashing, save it for Facebook or something.
I don't see Sun doing much. Acquisition is really interesting, probably too expensive to be good, but worth testing nontheless.
So Blood Sun is a nonbasic land hate card that doesnt affect HexDepths and allows lands and turbo depths players to go off with KGrip and Decay now? Am I missing something?
Edit: nvm it does at least stop hexdepths...
Do you know what assuming does? It makes an ass out of you and me.
Get it...? Ass, u, me?
... ffs I was trying to be funny...
Blood Sun also cantrips, so it's never dead in multiples.
This one seems to have a rather easy flip condition in the right deck. I just don't see it having any application in Legacy, though.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot.
Edit:
Initially, I completely dismissed it as an overcosted, GSZ-able Exploration. But then I noticed that it might have some application as a fight stick, namely with the GSZ-able Ulvenwald Tracker. That's probably still too cute, but since both parts are GSZ-able and not 100% completely useless on their own, it's worth mentioning. Maybe some kind of Loam deck could utilize it? Or some kind of Sylvan Plug variant - the mana cost would fit.

The downside is costing 3 mana against a denial deck. Other options like Needle, Submerge, Extraction, and the new Silent Grave are probably more reliable (and better against most the rest of the field).
I like it when WotC pays homage to the iconic cards of the game's history. Rumanup Excavator should have been Magus Of The Crucible if you ask me.

Hadana's Climb/Winged Temple of Orazca seems like a borderline playable-bad Legacy card.
The enchantment just keeps kicking out +1/+1 counters on your dudes with zero further effort, and if you flip it, its a 3 mana Berserk-type effect on demand. Maybe Boggles or Infect? Might be too slow for those, but it's in the right colors, and pumping Infect creatures repeatedly is some good stuff.
I think the "concern" is decks that aren't playing Moon will pick up Sun (Elves, for instance).
I'm not worried. SBs aren't getting any bigger, so this might mean different hate but not more hate. Blood Sun doesn't look any scarier than the other options against us.
At the very least it's Moon #3 for EDH decks.

So this is what a creature with CITP Brainstorm would cost.
