The round 1 feature really was a delight to watch, kudos to both players, the commentary and the twitch chat for their efforts in this comedy masterpiece.

Zack is undefeated, 7-0-2 on RuG Lands. They just don't seem to count x-0-x as undefeated.
It is better to ask and look stupid then keep your mouth shut and remain so.

    'cause he wasn't playing brainstorm...

"Their decks included five copies of Grixis Delver, three copies of Four-Color Control, two copies of Miracles, and one copy of Storm.
Congratulations to the Grand Prix Seattle Day One undefeated players!"

"Undefeated player" simply sounds better than "players with maximum points" or whatever. And draws are kinda like losses, more or less.

Volcanic Island is clearly the problem card here.

No wonder Richard Garfield didn't put it into Alpha. Volcanic Island is not Magic as Richard Garfield has intended.

Watching 4-Color delver decks win all their "losing" matchups on camera makes me sad.

At least SCG has Modern on.

By this coverage, grixis delver/ leovold must be at least half the meta.

I'm suprised by the amount of coverage D&T gets. A shame we still don't have data on the Day 2 decks yet.

Edit: Looks like I was spot-on with my Top 8 prediction (after my initial brainfart with the DRS count).

I am thrilled that I lost painter so that 2 miracles players could top 8.

What do you mean? It's exactly 20 DRS in the top 8. There are also exactly 24 Brainstorms and Force of Wills, but only 23 Ponders. There are 3 decks not playing DRS (Lands, and 2x Miracles) with the rest running playsets.

Nevermind, brainfart on my part then.

    Edit: Top 16
Supringly enough, there are only 4 DRS decks on the places #9-16, putting it at 36/64 copies. Meanwhile, Brainstorm sits at 44/64 copies, but that's business as usual by now.

    ^ This hits home.

3 of our local guys lost their deck (2 painter, 1 cloudpost) because miracles was "too good"

This 'underdog' narrative is so stupid, I'm sure there are Tundra players who appreciate that their deck is still playable
