If you control a Nissa, this lets you grab ANY three lands. Could this have any implications somewhere?

The sheerly insane power level difference between those two modes of the card is kind of hilarious.

Version 1: Not even really limited playable.

Version 2: God tier land tutor.

Version 1 just getting any basic makes it maybe decent just being double lay of the land. Unfortunately getting double Forest is probably bad for limited and standard

It's like Traverse the Ulvenwald is the solar system diorama in elementary school, where all the planets are equidistant from each other and Jupiter is maybe 4 times bigger than Earth.
Then you get Nissa's Triumph, and that's 1:1 scale, and you realize how far apart everything really is, and just how fucking huge the gas giants are.

Assuming you have a Nissa in play, you can grab the entire DD combo and play it as long as you have an Exploration effect?

Yes. But you also have to have enough basics in the deck to make the card worthwhile without Nissa. I don't see this being that useful.

I'm really surprised there is not a Nissa with an ability to drop lands from hand into play - they all seem to be top of the library - which makes this funny because then if triumph was top to library instead of hand then it would be more likely to be played.

I actually think this card is sneakily better than it looks at first glance. Mostly because Bloodbraid Elf exists. But likely that is a Modern sort of thing.

    But then you're playing Zoo.

Domri is still very good since it gets around the omnipresent counters. You could even play Chalice and still play 1-drops. The mana not being limited to creatures is also a big plus.

Why wouldn't you play Zoo? Instead of a 5/5 for B that's immune to Push, you can get a 4/5 for 1G that's not. And instead of a 3/2 flyer for U, you can get a 3/3 double conditional for G. Oh, and you also get to not include the two best colors in Legacy, or any of the best spells, and you're a dog to combo.

    What's not to love?

Probably not good enough, but the 2nd ability is really interesting as anti-LD.

Well, I guess the idea is that is could be "Sneak" 5-8?

More like sneak 9-12 with through the Breach already existing. Although Cavern on boar to make your sneak attack effect uncounterable is good

The benefit to this would be postboard, after the opponent has cut their removal. It dodges Flusterstorm, Spell Pierce, Pithing Needle, etc. Doubtful that it's better than Arcane Artisan, but still.

Eh, I can see it as a 1-of in a Sneak Attack/ Dragon Stompy hybrid.

Maybe out of the sideboard in a RB reanimator too, as a castable Plan B against a slower deck.

On second thought, maybe Big Red would like this card?
