Wouldn't be surprising if they put those on Arena as promos/paid skins to entice different demographics.

    we Cardfight!! Vanguard now

These are all tame, nothing to get riled up about. Nothing new since anime Jace and Chandra. I guess it'd be too much to print something that would upset our sensitive Western sensibilities. We'll always have Earthbind though.

I actually like awkward CGI Bolas. No I don't know why, but there's almost something charming about it. Maybe it's the lighting.

Hopefully this means that we start getting more variety in art styles, Kasmina sticks out in particular.

Full arts of the JP WAR walkers

More art variety would be great. I miss that part from Magic. They also brought back RKF for the Gideon Spellbook art of the Blackblade, so maybe there's hope:

There's also Thousand-Year Storm in Standard since GRN.

New God Bolas + Jace, Cunning Castaway is truly a thing of beauty after seeing it in action on the WAR preview streams - uptick Bolas, next turn, copy Bolas, uptick both copies, next turn, duplicate again. And it's Standard-legal. Oath of Teferi (Standard-legal) or Oath of Gideon in play would also allow for infinite Bolas copies.

Thanks for posting. Which Day9 vid is it? I've always liked that guy, even though I stopped watching his content regularly after he cancelled Funday Monday.

Yeah, I love SaffronOlive's content. The best part is how he horrifically murders the pronunciation of the cards, lol. He knows it, and he just runs with it. I also have a soft spot for him because he did a stream of a modern Polymorph/Thopter-Sword deck I used to get 5th at States a few years back.

Does this Jace Castaway/Bolas deck look like it could be competitive? Jank is my drug.

i really like the concepts of the decks he's running and the online content he provides. unfortunately for me i can't stand how he talks (mostly the uptalk inflection where every statement sounds like he's asking a question, even though he's not), and it makes the audio more or less intolerable. overall it's great to have his site and his contributions, but i won't watch the video content he produces/creates.

I finally found a single card that combines with Ral, Storm Conduit: Chain of Smog. You just keep targeting yourself with the copies.

They aren't terrible on their own either....
