Good point, you're forced to decide first.
If you attack with 1 squirrel and keep 3 back, he can ping the attacker and take 0 damage.
If you attack with 2 squirrels and keep 2 back, you can deal damage but he can choose to EOT ping one untapped squirrel and then ping the other, getting through with Vampire for 4 damage and growing to 5/2. You'll eventually get back up to 4 squirrels again but facing against an untapped 5/2 is a losing position, so you're better off never getting attacks through.
DD 2-2
This was a pretty complicated round, with all those different lines, but I think we're there, so here we go.
Standings for round 6:
1. dte: 54 - 4,9
2. silkster: 44 - 4
2. FTW: 44 - 4
4. Reeplcheep: 38 - 3,5
5. Asthereal (TO): 37 - 3,4
5. maxx!: 37 - 3,4
7. H: 29 - 2,6
8. GoblinSmashmaster: 26 - 2,4
8. alphastryk: 26 - 2,4
10. Tylert: 23 - 2,1
11. Karshtakavaar: 17 - 1,5
12. Wrath of Pie: 9 - 0,8
Which leads to these bannings:
Azorius Chancery
Ostracize
Reality Acid
Shrieking Affliction
Sunscorched Desert
Tel-Jilad Stylus
Typhoid Rats
And these standings for the season:
1. dte: 25,5
2. silkster: 25,4
3. FTW: 24,2
4. maxx!: 18,9
5. GoblinSmashmaster: 16,8
6. alphastryk: 14,3
7. Asthereal (TO): 14,3
8. Wrath of Pie: 14,2
9. Reeplcheep: 12,5
10. H: 12,2
11. Tylert: 11,8
12. Karshtakavaar: 2,6
So the top 3 runs away from the rest of the pack, fighting among eachother for the top spot, which dte has claimed for now, with silk and FTW close behind.

ROUND 7 OF SEASON 8: PEASANT CONTINUED BANNATHON has started.
I have PM'ed myself my deck for round 7, so you can start sending me your decks.
DEADLINE: Wednesday the 11th of November at 11:00AM Central European Time.
(That's my time zone. Pacific Time it'll probably be something like Tuesday night a bit past midnight, so keep that in mind.)
PLEASE NOTE:
The way you send your deck to me matters. Please send it in the way described below, so it doesn't cost me an hour of editing before I can post all the decks.
Please send your deck as follows: Swamp, Swamp, Terror, Black Knight.
So with card tags around each card, and not above eachother, and with your Username and 4CB S08R07 in the topic.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the banned list. You'll find it in the second post of the thread, or in our Google Spreadsheet.
After the deadline has passed, I will post all decks on the forum here, and you can start puzzling out your scores.
If you have any questions, please read the first two posts of this thread first. If you can't find the answer there, drop a message here. We'll answer a.s.a.p.
Also, if you've been lurking on this thread and looking to join, you can step in anytime, any round. That's no problem at all. Just send me your deck before the deadline, and I'll add you to the competition.
Happy deck designing everybody!

The deadline has passed, and I'm missing two entries. I'll give you a few more hours.

IT's me.... damn it was a bank holliday today :) sending soon
It was two, so not just you. I'm still somehow paranoid that it was me, and I keep checking my sent box. I finally submitted a card that I've been holding since week 1 of Pauper, and I've watched 3 worse cards get banned over the weeks. It's not an exciting card by any means, but it will hopefully play its role. That said, I think the weekly bans bring creativity and diversity, so I have no idea what folks will bring to the table.
Alright, no more slacking. Let's go.

Asthereal's scores for round 7:
1. Asthereal (TO): Saprazzan Skerry, Force of Will, Infiltrator il-Kor, Infiltrator il-Kor
Yay for boringly copying last round's deck.
2. dte: Swamp, Swamp, isochron scepter, Geth's Verdict
I can FoW the Scepter, but you'll have Verdict to cast once my remaining guy hits. Two draws, I guess. 2-2
3. Reeplcheep: Wasteland, Plains, Sacred Cat, Kitesail
I had planned to use Wasteland next round. Maybe won't be able to now. Anyway, FoW doesn't stop your threat all that well, so I'll lose here. 0-6
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Hickory Woodlot, Channel, Eldrazi Devastator, Whispersilk Cloak
FoW Channel, Infiltrator wins it. 6-0
5. Wrath of Pie: Wasteland, Plains, Akrasan Squire, Sacred Cat
Same as Reep. 0-6
6. alphastryk: Swamp, Encroach, Hired Poisoner, Hired Poisoner
FoW Encroach, Infiltrator races two 1/1 deathtouchers. 6-0
7. H: Pendelhaven, Lush Growth, Thornscape Apprentice, Orochi Leafcaller
This is a better version of last round's Lush Growth deck. Well done. I have to FoW Growth, Apprentice taps my Infiltrator and your Leafcaller wins it. 0-6
8. maxx!: Forest, Glistener Elf, Invigorate, Scale Up
FoW Elf, Infiltrator wins it. 6-0
9. silkster: Swamp, Night Market Lookout, Paralyze, Blackmail
I don't think I have more than hiding FoW when you Blackmail, and then FoWing the Lookout for the draws. 2-2
10. FTW: Wasteland, Plains, Goldmeadow Harrier, Goldmeadow Harrier
Wasteland plus two threats still beats me. 0-6
11. Tylert: Aether vial, Ingot Chewer, Faceless butcher, Mountain
FoW Vial, Infiltrator wins it. 6-0
Total: 28 points

God dammit, I wanted to play a mountain of course :(
2. dte: Swamp, Swamp, isochron scepter, Geth's Verdict
For round "Is wasteland the next best thing?".
1. Asthereal (TO): Saprazzan Skerry, Force of Will, Infiltrator il-Kor, Infiltrator il-Kor
2-2, Fow on scepter, geth the other dude.
2
3. Reeplcheep: Wasteland, Plains, Sacred Cat, Kitesail
6-0. Where there is a difference between strip mine and wasteland.
8
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Hickory Woodlot, Channel, Eldrazi Devastator, Whispersilk Cloak
6-0.
14
5. Wrath of Pie: Wasteland, Plains, Akrasan Squire, Sacred Cat
6-0. It reminds me of something.
20
6. alphastryk: Swamp, Encroach, Hired Poisoner, Hired Poisoner
6-0.
26
7. H: Pendelhaven, Lush Growth, Thornscape Apprentice, Orochi Leafcaller
6-0. 3 Wastelands, Encroach and Lush growth. Really not the round to have nonbasics out.
32
8. maxx!: Forest, Glistener Elf, Invigorate, Scale Up
1-4. I had in the gauntlet elf, invigorate, berserk. That is much much better with the possibility to take two blockers out, if I had thought of scale up instead of bersek, I would have played it.
33
9. silkster: Swamp, Night Market Lookout, Paralyze, Blackmail
0-6. Blackmail> me. Bully. That looks like a deck that will perform very well. Finally the end of blackmail.
33
10. FTW: Wasteland, Plains, Goldmeadow Harrier, Goldmeadow Harrier
6-0. Wie geth's?
39
11. Tylert: Aether vial, Ingot Chewer, Faceless butcher, Mountain
0-6. I got chewed. Damn you, there is at least three decks that are powerful but I do not play because they do not pass the Tylert.chrono.deck test. Well, if I had played any of them I would have died to wasteland :) And perfect round to bring vial out it seems.
39
Too bad Karshtakavaar did not join, his deck were inventive and well-built.
5. Wrath of Pie: Wasteland, Plains, Akrasan Squire, Sacred Cat
1. Asthereal (TO): Saprazzan Skerry, Force of Will, Infiltrator il-Kor, Infiltrator il-Kor WW
2. dte: Swamp, Swamp, isochron scepter, Geth's Verdict LL
3. Reeplcheep: Wasteland, Plains, Sacred Cat, Kitesail WW
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Hickory Woodlot, Channel, Eldrazi Devastator, Whispersilk Cloak WW
6. alphastryk: Swamp, Encroach, Hired Poisoner, Hired Poisoner WW
7. H: Pendelhaven, Lush Growth, Thornscape Apprentice, Orochi Leafcaller WW
8. maxx!: Forest, Glistener Elf, Invigorate, Scale Up DD - The threat of poison should mean we stare.
9. silkster: Swamp, Night Market Lookout, Paralyze, Blackmail DL
10. FTW: Wasteland, Plains, Goldmeadow Harrier, Goldmeadow Harrier WW
11. Tylert: Aether vial, Ingot Chewer, Faceless butcher, Mountain LL
12w3d = 39 points
Should have played Wasteland sooner.

10. FTW: Wasteland, Plains, Goldmeadow Harrier, Goldmeadow Harrier
1. Asthereal (TO): Wasteland kills your land, then you can only FoW 1 Harrier. WW 6-0
2. dte: Good anti-Wasteland deck! LL 0-6
3. Reeplcheep: Wasteland stops you from equipping Kitesail, then Harrier taps down your Cat while the other wins. WW 6-0
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Wasteland kills your land. WW 6-0
5. Wrath of Pie: This is where playing around Chrono bit me. I can only tap down the Cat, but the exalted Squire races my 2nd Harrier. LL 0-6
6. alphastryk: Our dead LD cards trade. OTP I would win the race by attacking first, so you have to defend/trade. I trade 1 Harrier with a Poisoner. I hold the other and combat-step tap the other Poisoner to cancel your combat, then untap and attack, which lets me get first damage in unblocked. If you attack back, I win the race. If you don't, then I hold and tap out your guy again, repeat. OTD you can prevent this line by always attacking first while my guys are summoning sick, forcing the trade. WD 4-1
7. H: Wasteland kills Pendelhaven, so you only get to play one card. Lush Growth does nothing to me, so you can play a 1/1. Harrier taps down the 1/1 while the other one kills you. WW 6-0
8. maxx!: This is where Scale Up being a sorcery bites you vs instant Berserk. OTP I play Harrier, you play Elf. I play 2nd Harrier. You have to Scale Up now, otherwise I win, so I chump with 2nd Harrier. Then I can't win so I tap you down forever.
OTD you play Elf, I play Harrier. If you Scale Up, I chump block and play 2nd Harrier, then I let the next attack through (nonlethal) and then tap you down forever. If you don't Scale Up, I let the first attack through, then tap you down forever. DD 2-2
9. silkster: Nice deck. Blackmail and Paralyze take out my creatures, then your 1/1 wins. LL 0-6
11. Tylert: I teched too hard around your Chrono deck, and now you play Vial! Wasteland does nothing, Butcher exiles one of my tappers, and I can only stop one of your 2 attackers. LL 0-6
30 points (9 wins, 3 draws)
I was torn between playing Wasteland or anti-Wasteland this week. I thought there might not be enough LD players for the anti-Waste deck to pay off. Guess it was too much of an obvious choice after last week's meta. My Wasteland deck would have been better if I just played a better 2nd 1 drop instead of trying too hard to be redundant through the Blackmail and Chrono decks, that I thought were "sure things" among the basics decks Wasteland doesn't beat.
Edit: My anti-Waste deck would have scored 40 points, losing to dte and Eldrazi

Does 2x Harrier work that well against Chrono?
He can still grow it, and then you run into, say, a 5/5 Chrono.
He keeps Chrono back for defence. You tap it and then attack. Both Harriers are now tapped.
The very next turn he attacks back for 5.
He can do this every other turn, so it doesn't even look like you have a win there.
Or am I missing something?
(PS. Not all that relevant, as nobody's playing Chrono, but still.)

Round: If LD is best when its not expected, is it expected to be best if it is obviously obvious? 3. Reeplcheep: Wasteland, Plains, Sacred Cat, Kitesail
1. Asthereal (TO): Saprazzan Skerry, Force of Will, Infiltrator il-Kor, Infiltrator il-Kor
Can't answer mummy cat. 6-0
2. dte: Swamp, Swamp, isochron scepter, Geth's Verdict
Unlimited removal 0-6
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Hickory Woodlot, Channel, Eldrazi Devastator, Whispersilk Cloak
Wasteland.6-0
5. Wrath of Pie: Wasteland, Plains, Akrasan Squire, Sacred Cat
Wasteland wasteland. Because I tech'd to beat chrono I lose the pseudo mirro. 0-6
6. alphastryk: Swamp, Encroach, Hired Poisoner, Hired Poisoner
OTP I lead wasteland. OTD we trade dudes. 4-1
7. H: Pendelhaven, Lush Growth, Thornscape Apprentice, Orochi Leafcaller.
Wasteland, get across the finish line with baby cat. 6-0
8. maxx!: Forest, Glistener Elf, Invigorate, Scale Up
Trade pump spells for bodies and then you win. 0-6
9. silkster: Swamp, Night Market Lookout, Paralyze, Blackmail
anti wasteland. 0-6
10. FTW: Wasteland, Plains, Goldmeadow Harrier, Goldmeadow Harrier
Wasteland wasteland. Because I tech'd to beat chrono I lose the pseudo mirro. 0-6
11. Tylert: Aether vial, Ingot Chewer, Faceless butcher, Mountain
Instead of playing chrono, you played exile based removal :( 0-6
