7. FTW: Swamp, Swamp, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
1. Asthereal (TO): OTP my Assassin levels up first and kills yours. OTD yours kills mine. WL 3-3
2. Tylert: OTP my Assassin levels up first and kills yours. OTD yours kills mine. WL 3-3
3. Unlif3: OTD you play Guide (18), I Inquisition one. You play Guide (14). I play Assassin. You attack me to 10. Level 1. You attack me to 6. Level 2. You attack me to 2. On the next attack I can block one and -2/-2 the other to draw. OTP I'm 1 turn faster, kill both your guys and win. WD 4-1
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Same as Unlif3, only I Inquisition the Flame Slash to protect my Assassin. WD 4-1
5. Wrath of Pie: OTP I play Assassin, you play Student. Level 1. You hit Level 2 and attack (17). Level 2. You hit Level 4 and attack (14). Level 3. You hit Level 6 and attack (11). Level 4. You hit Level 7 and attack (3), then play Student #2. Now I'm 4/4 and can both block 1 Student and -4/-4 the other to survive the next attack, so I win. OTD you're a turn faster and I can't stop Level 7 in time. WL 3-3
6. H: OTD you play Student, I play Assassin. You only have one land so we both level 1 per turn. You hit Level 4, then I hit Level 4. Then I can start killing all your guys and win. OTP I'm even faster. WW 6-0
23 points (7 wins, 2 draws)
No one played Spreading Seas to hate on Level Up mana so my backup swamp was unnecessary.
Sejiri Refuge, Quicksand, Halimar Wavewatch, Spreading Seas could have been interesting.
Asthereal's results for round 2:
1. Asthereal (TO): that's me, again sporting something pretty obvious, apparently: Swamp, Quicksand, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
2. Tylert: We Inquisition eachothers Inquisition, and whoever levels up Guul first wins it. So we both win OTP. 3-3
3. Unlif3: If I can still count, I should win this even on the draw. Calculations below. 6-0
4. GoblinSmashmaster: I have to Inquisiton the Slash, but then it amounts to the same as above. 6-0
5. Wrath of Pie: Again new calculations done, see below. Tylert found a draw on the draw, and we race you on the play. 4-1
6. H: One Plains means leveling up is slow. Guul becomes 4/4 fast enough to kill your Students. 6-0
7. FTW: We Inquisition eachothers Inquisition, and whoever levels up Guul first wins it. So we both win OTP. 3-3
Total: 28 points
Against Wrath:
EDIT:
OTP:
A: Swa, Guu
W: Pla, Stu
A: Qui, Guu +1l
W: Pla, Stu +2l, Stu=3/3fs, at, A=17
A: Guu +1l, Guu=l2 so 2/2 + -2/-2 eff
W: Stu +2l, Stu=l4, att, A=14
A: Guu +1l, Guu=l3
W: Stu +2l, Stu=l6, att, A=11
A: Guu +1l, Guu=l4 so 4/4 with -4/-4 eff
W: Stu +1l, Stu=l7, so 4/4 double strike, att, A=3, cast Stu2
A: (do nothing)
W: Stu2 +2l, Stu2=3/3, if att, Guu blocks 3/3 and uses -4/-4 on Stu1 who is 4/4 double strike, killing it.
I win from here.
OTD
W: Pla, Stu
A: Swa, Inq away Stu2
W: Pla, Stu +2l, Stu=3/3fs, att, A=17
A: Qui, cast Guu
W: Stu +2l, Stu=l4, att, A=14
A: Qui, Guu +1l
W: Stu +2l, Stu=l6, att, A=11
A: Guu +1l, Guu=l2 so 2/2 + -2/-2 eff
W: Stu +2l, Stu=l8, so 4/4 double strike, att, A=3
A: (do nothing)
W: If Stu attacks, Guu blocks, then gives -2/-2 and Qui gives -1/-2, making Stu 0/1.
So W can't attack and I can't do anything anymore, so we end up drawing.
Against Unlif3 and GSM:
U/G: Mou, Gui, att, A=18
A: Swa, Inq Gui/Sla
U/G: Gui, att, A=14
A: Qui, Guu
U/G: att, A=10
A: Guu +1l
U/G: att, A=6
A: Guu +1;, Guu=l2 so 2/2 + can do -2/-2 eff
U/G: att, A=2
A: Guu does -2/-2 eff on one Gui, Qui kills other Gui
I win from here.
Glad I took a Quicksand with me. Gains me a few points here.
Also, @FTW: Student at level 7+ has double strike, which means both first strike and normal strike, so your Guul dies when he blocks. They don't trade. Also, I think your math might be off. Or mine might be.

Same thing 0-6

Mirror match 2-2
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Mountain, Goblin Guide, Goblin Guide, Flame Slash
That's me, the Goblin Slash deck... wishing I had just played Dragons
5. Wrath of Pie: Plains, Plains, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare
Slashmaster slows you down 1-4
6. H: Plains, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare
Only one plains 6-0
7. FTW: Swamp, Swamp, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
No Quicksand 1-4

1. Asthereal: First one to play assassin wins. 3-3 --> 3
2. ME.
3. Unlif3:
OTP:
T1 = swamp Inqui (taking gob), Mountain gob (18)
T2 = Quicksand, Ass. Gob (14)
T3 = LEvel 1. (10)
T4 = Level 2. (6)
T5 = I kill one guy and can quicksand the other one. I win.
OTD:
T1 = mount, Gob (18). Swamp Ass
T2 = gob (14). Inqui.
T3 = 10. Level 1
T4 = 6. Level 2
T5 = 2. I kill one guy with assassin the other one with quicksand.
6-0 --> 6. 9
4. Goblinsmashmaster: Same scenario as above. I have to inqui first each time for flame slash. 6-0 --> 15
5. Wrath of Pie: OTP:
T1 = Swmap Ass. plains, student
T2 = quick sand, level 1. plains, level 1, student (19)
T3 = level 2. level 3/0 (16)
T4 = Level 3. level 3/2 (10)
T5 = Level 4. Level 5/2
I win.
If you play one student to make it 4/4 as soon as possible:
T1 = Swmap Ass. plains, student
T2 = quick sand, level 1. plains, level 2, (17)
T3 = level 2. plains level 3 (14), student
T4 = Level 3. level 5 (11)
T5 = Level 4. Level 7 (3)
T6 = Win.
OTD:
T1 = Plains, student. Swmap Inqui.
T2 = plains LEvel 2 (17). assassin
T3 = Level 3 (14). Level 1
T4 = Level 5 (11). Level 2.
T5 = Level 7 (3). I don't do anything.
T6 = If you attack , i give you -3/-4 by sacrificing quicksand and -2/-2 from the assassin. I can't do it and level at the same time so it's a draw.
4-1 --> 19
6. H: This one is more straight forward than the precedent scenario because you can only level once per turn. If you try to level one guy to 7+ i'm faster and can kill it. If you try to level multiple guys, I can kill them one by one at some point in time. 6-0 --> 25
7. FTW: Inferior mirror deck, but still draw. Whoever plays assassin first wins it. 3-3 --> 28
Total = 28.
I'm glad i found somehow one of the better decks. I had not planned to encounter the double plains / double student deck (I only planned for the thre students deck). Need to improve my deckbuilding a bit therefore.
Well, doesn't look like much analysis is needed, I can't see a single game I win, so zero for me.
I didn't really think too much about how bad the bottleneck would be with only one Plains and I thought, because I didn't really feel like doing the math, that 2 Plains and 2 Students would lose to IoK. Oh well.

Guul doesn't block it. OTP he -4/-4s the Level 7 Student and can block the other 3/3 one. OTD he's too slow.
Me - Guul
Wrath - Student
Me - Level 1
Wrath - Level 2 3/3 (17)
Me - Level 2
Wrath - Level 4 (14)
Me - Level 3
Wrath - Level 6 (11)
Me - Level 4. 4/4 but tapped out.
Wrath - Level 7. Attack 4/4 double strike (3). 2nd Student
Me - Pass the turn
Wrath - 2nd Student to Level 2. But 4/4 double strike + 3/3 first strike aren't enough. I can block the 3/3 and -4/-4 the 4/4 to survive. Otherwise I EOT kill the 4/4, untap and kill the 3/3.
OTD I die before I get to activate Guul. WL 3-3.
Oh wait, you don't cast the Inquisition at all and just open with Guul.
Right. That changes things.
Never actually considered that, because my brain told me Guul cost 2 mana.
My brain needs more coffee. Or just more brain.
That means I have to redo my calculations as well.
I'll get to it in a minute. I'm a bit busy at the moment.

You're fast enough to squeeze out 1 draw. DL 1-4.
G - Guide (18)
W - Student
G - Guide (14)
W - Level 2 3/3. Hold on defense.
G - Flame Slash the Student. (10)
W - Student #2. Level 1
G - Attack (6)
W - Level 3 3/3
G - Pass
W - Level 5
G - Pass
W - Level 7 4/4 double strike. But Student cannot afford to attack (3 attacks to kill, but Wrath dies to 2 counter attacks).
Draw
OTD
W - Student
G - Guide (W=18)
W - Level 2 3/3. (G=17)
G - Flame Slash it. (W=16)
W - Student #2. Level 1
G - Guide. (W=12)
W - Level 3 3/3 (G=14)
G - Attack (W=8)
W - Level 5. Hold on defense.
G - Pass
W - Level 7 4/4 double strike. Student can kill in 2 attacks and Gobbo needs 2 counterattacks to race, so Wrath wins.

Yeah, I just saw it.
I completely overlooked the option to sit on the level 2 Guul combined with Quicksand.
Just like I completely overlooked about forty other things this round.
Oh and we're lucky Gobbo switched to Gobbos, because his original double Kargan deck was pretty dangerous.

I think you actually win against the Mountain, 3x Goblin Guide deck.
U: Mou, Gui, att, H=18
H: Pla, Stu
U: Gui2, att, H=14
H: Stu +1l
U: Gui3, att, H=8
H: Stu +1l, Stu=l2 so 3/3 fs
U: att, block & kill one, H=4
From here, Unlif3 can't attack you down to 0, so you can cast and level up the other Students and start to think about attacking for the win.

I found a line were i can draw on the draw:
T1 = Plains, student. Swmap Inqui.
T2 = plains LEvel 2 (17). assassin
T3 = Level 4 (14). Level 1
T4 = Level 6 (11). Level 2.
T5 = Level 8 (3). I don't do anything.
T6 = If you attack , i give you -3/-4 by sacrificing quicksand and -2/-2 from the assassin. I can't do it and level at the same time so it's a draw.
1. Asthereal (TO): Swamp, Quicksand, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
I overlooked this. 0-6.
2. Tylert: Swamp, Quicksand, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
I also overlooked this. 0-6.
3. Unlif3: Mountain, Goblin Guide, Goblin Guide, Goblin Guide
Me, going for a dubious round.
4. GoblinSmashmaster: Mountain, Goblin Guide, Goblin Guide, Flame Slash
The obvious mirror obviously leads to an obvious 2-2.
5. Wrath of Pie: Plains, Plains, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare
I planned to lose to this but was hoping not too many people would play that. 0-6.
6. H: Plains, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare, Student of Warfare
Hah, this is the wrong version this time. 6-0.
7. FTW: Swamp, Swamp, Inquisition of Kozilek, Guul Draz Assassin
This looks a lot like a version of Asthereal/Tylert's deck that overlooked Quicksand. I nab the draw OTP, lose OTD. 1-4.
9 points.
I fear you lose this version of Student Stompy as well. See my post above for the calculations.

Preliminary scores for round 2:
1. Asthereal (TO): 28 - 4,7
1. Tylert: 28 - 4,7
3. FTW: 23 - 3,8
4. Wrath of Pie: 21 - 3,5
5. GoblinSmashmaster: 10 - 1,7
6. H: 6 - 1
7. Unlif3: 3 - 0,5
This completely mixes up the season ranking.
In the chaos, FTW takes the lead, closely followed by Wrath.
