    Banned:
    - Mana Vault
    - Thought-Knot Seer
    - Arcbound Ravager
(Also: cards marked red in the Google Spreadsheet, behind our scores for the round. Or cards in the banned list in 2nd post or in 2nd tab of our Google Spreadsheet.)

    Not banned:
    - Ghost Quarter
    - Elvish Spirit Guide
    - Mayor of Avawolfmaker
    - Pithing Needle

Note: everything is updated for a 4-1 win of Tylert against Wrath. I tried and can't find better lines, so I think this is final.

@Whoshim: you're the only one who sent in a deck so far. If you like, based on the changes in bannings, you can change it.
Let me know what you want to do. Or do nothing, and I'll just use the deck you sent. It's legal anyway, so yeah.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

The deadline has passed and I have entries from the usual 8.

I have a few things to do at work, so I can't post the decks just yet, so if someone still wants to make a change or someone new still wants to join, you have about 4 hours still.

Assassin's Trophy is generally better, unfortunately. (Hexproof/protection is not that great, because most of the bodies can't keep up with the growth potential of something like Mayor of Avabruck or Bitterblossom.)

Ironically if Tylert jammed Aether Vial one more time it would have paid off. Detention Dude > Show and Tell.

I tried to metagame, thinking ghost quarter would be good and that anyway i wanted it out of the picture for the next round.
Hear me, next round I might come back to my pet deck :)

Well, that was actually sort of the "joke" there, that in reality it might actually work...

    Re: 4 Card Blind

You're not going to believe the excuse I have for posting the decks late.
Someone fell through the window in my roof into my room.
He fell on my desk, and I've been cleaning up the mess for the past hours.
He broke his ankle but is otherwise sort of fine, and I've got tarp to cover the hole in my roof now.
    Happy days and jubilation.

    So anyway, here are:

DECKS FOR ROUND 7 OF THE VINTAGE BANNATHON (In order of receiving the first PM.)

    1. Asthereal: Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm
    2. Whoshim: Saprazzan Skerry, Phantasmal Bear, Chronatog, Disrupting Shoal
    3. Tylert: Treetop village, Golgari rot farm, Assassin's trophy, Elixir of immortality
    4. H: Darksteel Citadel, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Arcbound Slith
    5. FTW: Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker
    6. Wrath of Pie: Forest, Durkwood Baloth, Contagion, Unmask
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Oboro, Palace in the Clouds, Elvish Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm
    8. apple713: Nourishing Shoal, Serra Ascendant, Autochthon Wurm, Plains

Please post your scores and cross-check with the opponents.
I'll update the Google Spreadsheet for the season, so you can enter your scores there as well: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

    Note for the Bannathon:
With 8 participants again, the top 4 scoring decks for this round will be banned for next rounds.
So if you want to start brewing for round 8 already, keep that in mind.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

Morning after look at my games amounts to:

    1. Asthereal, that's me, more combo because I can: Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm
    2. Whoshim: Shoal foils my plan. And you have a threat to kill me. 0-6
    3. Tylert: I am quite fast. I think I should be able to race this quite comfortably. 6-0
    4. H: OTP I combo, OTD you Sphere me. 3-3
    5. FTW: OTP I combo, OTD you Sphere me. 3-3
    6. Wrath of Pie: OTP I combo, OTD you Umask me. 3-3
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Spider-Man is surprised to see Spider-Man. 2-2
    8. apple713: I think this deck actually races me, even on the play. 2-2

    Re: 4 Card Blind

FTW: Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker

    1. Asthereal: OTP Sphere beats you. OTD I lose to combo. WL 3-3.
    2. Whoshim: You can Shoal Sol Ring to stop me from playing spells, but I can kill Skerry before you can play threats, so we just stare at each other. DD 2-2.
    3. Tylert: OTP I play Sol Ring -> Hangarback. Then I hold up GQ to kill Village whenever you play it. OTD you play Village first. I play Sol Ring -> Hangarback. You play Elixir. You can play tapped Rot Farm or leave the Village there. Either way I blow up the land and you can't do anything. WW 6-0
    4. H: Resistance is futile, so OTP I play Sol Ring -> Hangarback. You play Sol Ring -> Slith. Your citadel's steel gives me no quarter, so I just hang back and outgrow you. You concede to gratuitous puns. OTD you resist and I can't play anything. WL 3-3
    6. Wrath of Pie: OTP I play Sol Ring -> Hangarback X=1. If you Contagion it, I still get two 1/1 tokens, then Sphere+GQ stops you from resolving Baloth from Suspend. If you instead Unmask Sphere, you can resolve Baloth but Hangarback grows bigger than 5/5, then 20/20 FTW. OTD you suspend Baloth and Unmask my Sol Ring before I can do anything. WL 3-3.
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: OTP Sphere beats you. OTD I lose to combo. WL 3-3.
    8. apple713: OTP Sphere beats you, though you can go up to 35 to really slow things down. OTD Hangarback is no match for 6/6 flying lifelink starting at 35 life. WL 3-3.

    1. Asthereal: (Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm)
Win on the Play with Sphere, lose on the Draw. 3-3

    2. Whoshim: (Saprazzan Skerry, Phantasmal Bear, Chronatog, Disrupting Shoal)
This one is kind of tough, but I think I lose both. 0-6

    3. Tylert: (Tree-top village, Golgari rotfarm, Assassin's trophy, Elixir of immortality)
Since you can get three mana, I'll lose eventually. 0-6

    4. H: Bye, myself.

    5. FTW: (Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker)
We both Sphere each other on our Plays. 3-3

    6. Wrath of Pie: (Forest, Durkwood Baloth, Contagion, Unmask)
I think I lose this in any case, because Sphere doesn't really stop anything. 0-6

    7. GoblinSmashmaster: (Oboro, Palace in the Clouds, Elvish Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm)
Win on the Play, lose on the Draw. 3-3

    8. apple713: (Nourishing Shoal, Serra Ascendant, Autochthon Wurm, Plains)
Win on the Play, lose on the Draw. 3-3

    12, I think? At least it's more than 0.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

GoblinSmashmaster results for round 7 of "don't ban Flash, it sucks"

    1. Asthereal: Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm
Mirror match for obscure deck? This is what I get for playing combo instead of discard. 2-2

    2. Whoshim: Saprazzan Skerry, Phantasmal Bear, Chronatog, Disrupting Shoal
    You counter Flash. 0-6

    3. Tylert: Tree-top village, Golgari rotfarm, Assassin's trophy, Elixir of immortality
    Too many 5/5s. 6-0

    4. H: Darksteel Citadel, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Arcbound Slith
    I lose to Sphere. 3-3

    5. FTW: Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker
    I lose to Sphere. 3-3

    6. Wrath of Pie: Forest, Durkwood Baloth, Contagion, Unmask
    I lose to Unmask. 3-3

    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Oboro, Palace in the Clouds, Elvish Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm
That's Asthereal! Er, me! I can't tell anymore.

    8. apple713: Nourishing Shoal, Serra Ascendant, Autochthon Wurm, Plains
Neither of us can attack. 2-2

    Total: 19 points

Edit: Looks like I draw against apple.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    2. Whoshim: Saprazzan Skerry, Phantasmal Bear, Chronatog, Disrupting Shoal

    1. Asthereal: Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm 6-0 confirmed

    3. Tylert: Treetop Village, Golgari Rot Farm, Assassin's Trophy, Elixir of Immortality 0-6 Treetop Village gets me. I have to counter Elixir if I counter anything. I could play Chronatog before Assassin's Trophy blows up my land, but then it just blows up Chronatog.

    4. H: Darksteel Citadel, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Arcbound Slith 6-0 confirmed

    5. FTW: Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker 2-2 confirmed

    6. Wrath of Pie: Forest, Durkwood Baloth, Contagion, Unmask 0-6

    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Oboro, Palace in the Clouds, Elvish Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm 6-0 confirmed

    8. apple713: Nourishing Shoal, Serra Ascendant, Autochthon Wurm, Plains 6-0 I counter Serra Ascendant.

I was saving this deck for when Ghost Quarter was banned. I was a bit disappointed with the change in the scores after I had submitted my list, but I didn't have the energy to change it up. I am surprised it worked as well as it did.

    6. Wrath of Pie: Forest, Durkwood Baloth, Contagion, Unmask

    1. Asthereal: Thalakos Lowlands, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm WL
    2. Whoshim: Saprazzan Skerry, Phantasmal Bear, Chronatog, Disrupting Shoal WW
    3. Tylert: Tree-top village, Golgari rotfarm, Assassin's trophy, Elixir of immortality LL
    4. H: Darksteel Citadel, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Arcbound Slith WW
    5. FTW: Ghost Quarter, Sol Ring, Sphere of Resistance, Hangarback Walker WL
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Oboro, Palace in the Clouds, Elvish Spirit Guide, Flash, Worldspine Wurm WL
    8. apple713: Nourishing Shoal, Serra Ascendant, Autochthon Wurm, Plains WL

    8w = 24

Not seeing how apple wins vs. the Wurm hands, Ascendant is only giant above 30 life which the Wurms can get him under fast enough to make Ascendant normal again.
