    I'll post your placeholder, then.

    Deadline has passed, and we have 7 entries right now.
    I'll post decks as soon as I find time. Before then you can still send a deck.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    Asthereal results for a particularly dismal round 1:

    1. Asthereal (TO): that's me, gambling completely wrong with Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Salvage Titan.
    2. Unlif3: You can trade both guys for my one guy. 2-2
    3. Wrath of Pie: You can Path my guy and Mage kills me. 0-6
    4. H: Leech can trade with my guy, but if I don't attack, your Ooze grows out of control pretty fast. 0-6
    5. FTW: You can Path my guy and Mage kills me. 0-6
    6. Tylert: You can Path my guy and Squire kills me. 0-6
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: You can trade both guys for my one guy. 2-2

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    5. FTW: Plains, Path to Exile, Island, Meddling Mage

    1. Asthereal (TO): Path your guy. WW 6-0
    2. Unlif3: Ah nuts, this is the one mirror variation that I worried about. OTP I play Mage naming Duelist. You play Mage naming Path. You're happy to trade (you get Duelist vs Path) so I can't attack first but you can. Getting the first attack means your 2/2 can race my 2/2, so eventually I'm forced to block and trade and give you Duelist back. OTD you can just play T2 Duelist and start beating down. LL 0-6
    3. Wrath of Pie: OTP I can't play Mage naming Mage (you Path me, then play Mage naming Path and I lose), so I have to play Mage naming Path. You play Mage naming Chronatog (the fear is real). Our 2/2s trade. OTD you're in the same boat. DD 2-2
    4. H: OTP I play Plains. If you play Ooze, I EOT Path it. Then I Mage naming Leech. OTD you play Ooze, I play Plains. You can play Leech before I get Mage, but I immediately Path it. Then my 2/2 Mage races your 1/1 Ooze. WW 6-0
    6. Tylert: If you play Squire before I play Mage (to race), I EOT Path it and then play Mage naming Path (so you can't Path me back). If you hold back Squire, I play Mage naming Path and then you play Squire after. I can't Path you, but I get to attack first so I win the 2/2 race. WW 6-0
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: OTP I play Mage naming Mage. You can play the Blade but I Path it and win. OTD you play your Mage first. If you name Mage, I Path it and then play Mage naming Sureblade, winning. Therefore you name Path instead. I play Mage naming Bant Sureblade. Your Mage gets to attack first, so I'd lose the race. You attack and trade, then I Path your Sureblade for the draw. WD 4-1

    24 points (7 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses to Mr "I understood how to play Magic now")

    6. Tylert: Plains, Path to Exile, Path to Exile, Akrasan Squire
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Fieldmist Borderpost, Plains, Meddling Mage, Bant Sureblade

    1. Asthereal: I can path titan and win. 6-0 --> 6
    2. Unlif3: Meddling mage can name path. I loose 0-6 --> 6
    3. Wrath of Pie: 0-6 --> 6
    4. H: I can path your guys. 6-0 --> 12
    5. FTW: Another meddling mage deck 0-6 --> 12
    6. Me.
    7: GoblinSmashmaster: Another meddling mage deck 0-6 --> 12

    So Another round were I had no time to do my homework and missed the key card of the format :)

    Total 12.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    H: Ancient Ziggurat, Ancient Ziggurat, Bloodhall Ooze, Putrid Leech

    1. Asthereal (TO): Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Salvage Titan
    As pointed out, Leech can trade and Ooze gets big. 6-0

    2. Unlif3: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Deft Duelist
    I think I can beat this variation on the Play. I lose pretty badly on the Draw. 3-3

    3. Wrath of Pie: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Path to Exile
    I can't beat removal. 0-6

    4. H: Bye, myself.

    5. FTW: Plains, Path to Exile, Island, Meddling Mage
    I can't beat removal. 0-6

    6. Tylert: Plains, Path to Exile, Path to Exile, Akrasan Squire
    I still can't beat removal and that is a lot. 0-6

    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Fieldmist Borderpost, Plains, Meddling Mage, Bant Sureblade
    Doesn't change much, I can win on the Play, lose on the draw to Mage. 3-3

    12? Not all that bad for me somehow idiotically forgetting that both Path and Meddling Mage were in this block...

    GoblinSmashmaster Results for Round "Meddling Path"

    1. Asthereal (TO): Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Salvage Titan
    We trade. 2-2

    2. Unlif3: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Deft Duelist
    Mage names Mage. 3-3

    3. Wrath of Pie: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Path to Exile
    Mine names Path. 1-4

    4. H: Ancient Ziggurat, Ancient Ziggurat, Bloodhall Ooze, Putrid Leech
    Mage names Leech. 3-3

    5. FTW: Plains, Path to Exile, Island, Meddling Mage
    Mine names Path. 1-4

    6. Tylert: Plains, Path to Exile, Path to Exile, Akrasan Squire
    Mage names Path. 6-0

    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Fieldmist Borderpost, Plains, Meddling Mage, Bant Sureblade

    This is my score too.

    I guess the good news is that we are free from Meddling Mage in block formats.

    Deft Duelist turned out to be better than Path in this meta. But if more people tried to outrace Meddling Mage with ramp or aggro then Path is better. Tough call

    e.g.
    Land, Land, Noble Hierarch, Rhox War Monk
    Ziggurat, Hierarch, Squire x 2
    H's Bloodhall Ooze deck

    All slide under Mage OTP and race Duelist but lose hard to Path.

    Anyway hopefully we should be free of these silly mirror matches in most of the new blocks.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    1. Asthereal (TO): Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Bone Saw, Salvage Titan
    Double block for a double draw. 2-2.
    2. Unlif3: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Deft Duelist
    That's me :)
    3. Wrath of Pie: Plains, Island, Meddling Mage, Path to Exile
    This is the version of my deck I designed to beat. 6-0.
    4. H: Ancient Ziggurat, Ancient Ziggurat, Bloodhall Ooze, Putrid Leech
    Boils down to who gets their second mana first. 3-3.
    5. FTW: Plains, Path to Exile, Island, Meddling Mage
    See above. 6-0
    6. Tylert: Plains, Path to Exile, Path to Exile, Akrasan Squire
    Blanking Path is good. 6-0.
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: Fieldmist Borderpost, Plains, Meddling Mage, Bant Sureblade
    Ah, the mage+beater mirror. 3-3 there.

    26 points for me :)

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    Ranking for round 1.

    Rank. Player: score - season points:
    1. Unlif3: 26 - 4,3
    2. Wrath of Pie: 24 - 4
    2. FTW: 24 - 4
    4. GoblinSmashmaster: 16 - 2,7
    5. H: 12 - 2
    5. Tylert: 12 - 2
    7. Asthereal (TO): 4 - 0,7

    Lessons learned:
    1. When Unlif3 warns you that he (or she) has learned how to play MtG, take it seriously. I have to say that was an excellent round.
    2. Don't yolo a round, even if you have very little time to analyse the meta. The most obvious deck might still be solid.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    Round 2 of 4CB Season 4, The Block Tour - part 2, has started. For this round we shall play Zendikar block (Zendikar, Worldwake, Rise of the Eldrazi)![/B]

    I have PM'ed myself my deck for round 2, so you can start sending me your decks.

    DEADLINE: Wednesday the 16nd of October, at 11:00AM Central European Time.
    (That's my time. Pacific Time it'll probably be something like Tuesday night at midnight-ish, so keep that in mind.)

    PLEASE NOTE:
    The way you send your deck to me matters. Please send it in the way described below, so it doesn't cost me an hour of editing before I can post all the decks.
    Please send your deck as follows: Island, Island, Halimar Wavewatch, Coralhelm Commander (so with card tags around each card, and not above eachother), with your Username and 4CB S04R02 in the topic. Many of you already did this for previous rounds. Thanks a lot, this really saves me the time and hassle of copying and pasting text and tags!

    After the deadline has passed, I will post all decks on the forum here, and you can start puzzling out your scores.
    If you have any questions, please read the first two posts of this thread first. If you can't find the answer there, drop a message here. We'll answer a.s.a.p.

    Happy deck designing everybody!

    This time I sent something early :) (However, this round was full of maths thanks to the level keyword and I got bored before the end of my testing... we will see if it's ok)
