    Blistering Firecat

    Lightning Skelemental
    Groundbreaker
    Hellspark Elemental / Spark Elemental
    Spark Trooper

Obv. not Legacy playable, but cute!

    Re: Core Set 2020 Spoilers

    [card]Thunderkin Awakener[/card]
    1R
    Haste
When it attacks put an elemental from your graveyard into play tapped and attacking with a toughness less than Thunderkin's Toughtness.
Lightning Skelemental, Ball Lightning, and Groundbreaker are all elementals with a toughness less than Thunderkin Awakener.
Force of Savagery too, but reanimating something with zero toughness isn't too helpful.
Primacrux is a 6/6 that is probably a 0/0 in the graveyard, Savage Firecat is a 7/7 if you don't tap mana.

Not Legacy relevant, but also works on Saga enchantments.

EDIT: duh, in-same-set combo with Lotus Fields sacrifice cost. That might end up being very relevant in the right deck.
Double ramp in non-green white decks seems pretty relevant if the opportunity cost is merely "run fetches". It also works in tandem with Snapcaster Mage for extra stupidity:

T2: Double fetch, cast it, bring back both fetches
T3: sac both fetches again, cast Snapcaster targeting Brought Back, flashback it, return both fetches again
T4: sac fetches, grab lands at will

With no further land drops and at the cost of effectively a single card (and 6 life), you have a minimum 6 mana available (up to 8, if you have additional lands in hand), thinned your deck alot and +3 CA. The opportunity cost for this seems pretty low if you're already running fetches and Snapcast, aka a metric shitton of decks.

Yeah, but blue and white already have lots of slow card advantage. At two white it has to compete with the stuff you already see in Miracles.
How about Bring Back with Evoke? Kinda mana hungry maybe. But in Barook’s example, that might not be a problem.

I kinda like it with Skelemental.

    Turn 1 - Faithless Looting
Turn 2 - Thunderkin - attack for 7 and opponent discards 2 cards?

    Spitebellows to kill a creature.
Cytoplast Root-Kin - and then start getting Elementals with power toughness equal to 2?
    Spark Trooper for life gain
Vesperlark? Get another target creature with power 1 or less out on the battlefield (works great with Cytoplast)

Anybody still remembering the "LA Mental Bidding" deck from 2005?

Hrmm. How about Bring Back with Greater Good and Yosei, the Morning Star? That was a pretty solid deck in Standard or Modern once upon a time. With Bring Back working as both combo piece and ramp, it seems like a pretty strong include.

    Let's see:
T1, Temple Garden, Sakura-Tribe Scout (Elvish Farmer and the like work here as well)
T2, Flagstones, Lotus Field, Bring Back
    T3, Any land, Yosei
T4, Greater Good, begin the winning

That's probably too slow, and it's magical christmas land, but there are plenty of better/much more likely versions of that sequence that still end up with you having Yosei and Good in play on turn 4.

I dunno, but that card has an absolute ton of fun potential. Works with the new crop rotation Elf too. Sac a land find a fetch, pop the fetch, cast this, get them both back.

Even if you jump with a Snapcaster Mage, you can bring it back and then cast something. That's somewhat like an arguably better Mission Briefing. At worst, it would be an instant speed Wild Growth with a single fetch.

The really scary part is that it's repeatable since it sacs the elementals instead of exiling them.

Flamekin Harbinger can be used to set up things (and as a repeatable tutor if you have a sac outlet). Flickerwisp shenanigans are a possibility, depening on how you set things up. Igneous Pouncer can set up itself while grabbing a land.

Throw in some Entombs and Unearths and things are getting spicy.

I wonder if the synergy with Vesperlark is deliberate.

Two Reality Smashers with Eye out cost 6 total, though.

Forge + SDT + any mana reduction for artifacts (Helm of Awakening) = draw your deck.

    Forge + SDT + Workshop = draw 3 a turn, minimum

It's crazy how good SDT is . . . the closest card to do what it does that I found in gatherer is just soothsaying.

They've printed a whole slew of these top deck things recently - precognition field, epic experiment, citadel, and now mystic forge.

I wonder whether mystic forge will find a spot in affinity.

On the sillier side: Can you cast morph creatures face down with Mystic Forge?

Paradox Engine + artifact mana might also be pretty silly.
