Would like to work on a tier 3 deck.
/ 60 Maindeck
// 16 Creature
4 Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion
4 Simian Spirit Guide
4 Cheering Fanatic
4 Borderland Marauder
// 10 Instant
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Seething Song
2 Desperate Ritual
// 19 Land
4 Ancient Tomb
15 Mountain
// 2 Planeswalker
2 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
// 13 Sorcery
4 Seize the Day
3 Reforge the Soul
4 Assault Strobe
2 Burning Wish
// 6 Sideboard
// 6 Sorcery
SB: 2 Grapeshot
SB: 1 Empty the Warrens
SB: 1 Reforge the Soul
SB: 2 Warrior’s Oath
so here’s how the pile works:
you drop a neheb
you attack, cast a bunch of seize the day
and win
burning wish -> warrior’s oath can function as a poor man’s timewalk
also, i really like the interaction with cheering fanatic and seize the day. it’s not a ton of damage, since seize the day is only going to affect one creature.
you can cast turn 2 cheering
turn 3 ancient tomb, attack - name seize the day. cast it with Tomb + Mtn. untap, attack, name seize the day. cast it with flashback for R.
6 damage! woohoo.
man this deck is sweet.
it can technically win turn 2
turn 1 tomb + guide + song + neheb. (3 cards left in hand)
turn 2, attack with neheb, discard 4 cards. draw 1 seize the day. hardcast it.
then attack again, discard 3, draw 3, flash it back. (and hope that you can draw 1 more seize the day)
or same turn 1.
turn 2. cast assault strobe. attack, discard 3, draw 3, discard 3, draw 3. flashback or cast seize the day. potentially 20 damage right there, but if you flash it back a 2nd time you can get another 10 damage.
i understand how aggravated assault works in this deck, but not sure it makes enough sense here. could still be okay.
this will never be a tier 2 deck, but would still like to optimize it. anyone want to help?

Both are great ideas. I like the land a bit more as it doesn't take up other slots. Might make sense to run more of the final fortune like cards maindeck since you can have a better chance of casting something.

Legion Warboss and Goblin Rabblemaster seem like better back-up win conditions to stuff like Borderland Marauder.
Or at least Kiln Fiend, which also goes bonkers with free spells and Assault Strobe.
Yea I tried the rabblemasters and felt they were a bit off for the deck. Kiln fiend could be cool.
(it was mostly the 3cc part)

You may want to switch out bolts for abrades. How often are you going to the face with bolts? Magmatic Sinkhole should be considered for this list as well. Maybe Ahn-crop crasher will do more for your gameplan than borderland marauder. Blood moon / magus of the moon can win you games on their own in this shell. For some spicey meatballs I might try Neheb, the Eternal, Tahngarth, Talruum Hero, and Didgeridoo.
I may put this list together, I've always wanted to play Didgeridoo!
4 Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion
4 Neheb, the Eternal
4 Ahn-Crop Crasher
4 Magus of the Moon
4 Simian Spirit Guide
2 Tahngarth, Talruum Hero
4 Blood Moon
1 Aggravated Assault
4 Didgeridoo
4 Lotus Petal
4 Seize the Day
3 Abrade
1 Magmatic Sinkhole
4 Ancient Tomb
3 Sandstone Needle
10 Mountain
looks like a fun version. i don't mind any free wins either with blood moons. also interestingly enough, this combo works with trinisphere out.
:D

Is Didgeridoo better than Chalice of the Void? You have no other 1cc spells and you have double lands. Chalice and Moon just win games. Didgeridoo looks pretty fun though. Tangarth is spicy, but Boros Battleshaper is a thing...
Chrome Mox over Lotus Petal? It hurts to lose a card, but you're also likely to need that mana again unless you're playing turn 1 Neheb.
I think Chalice is a much better idea than Didgeridoo, as well as Chrome Mox over Petal, and those Sandstone Needles should probably be City of Traitors. Also there's this new guy https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/co...orn_buccaneer/
Maybe instead of Tahngarth?
i wonder if there's any value in playing sneak attack in here with some other monsters on top of the blood moon package?
i'd rather play sneak attack than didgeridoo. (even though i still love it).
also it looks like there's a decent minotaur here. 2/4 is pretty solid.
with spirit guide and petal i also like scab-clan berserker

We got a new friend!
This looks closer to what I was brewing in the Thunderbluff thread. Forgot about this deck.
Sneak Attack seems very strong with Moraug, the first creature that can 1-shot kill (with a fetchland).
Ahn-Crop Crasher removes blockers and can be exerted multiple times in one turn.
Neheb still works well with the Sneak Attack plan, generating cards and mana to dig into combo pieces and value.
//Mana: 25
4 Ancient Tomb
3 City of Traitors
3 Bloodstained Mire
3 Wooded Foothills
4 Snow-Covered Mountain
4 Chrome Mox
4 Simian Spirit Guide
//Engines: 8
4 Didgeridoo
4 Sneak Attack
//Prison: 11
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Blood Moon
3 Trinisphere
//Minotaurs: 17
3 Ahn-Crop Crasher
3 Glint-Horn Buccaneer
4 Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion
4 Moraug, Fury of Akoum
2 Boros Battleshaper
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
//Maybes:
x Neheb, the Eternal
x Magus of the Moon
x Chandra, Torch of Defiance
The 1-of Emrakul is a Sneak Attack wincon. There aren't more copies due to not being a minotaur. Still, even 1 Emrakul protects you from mill.
The looting from Buccaneer and Neheb should hopefully compensate for running many conditional cards, smoothing out draws.

Good point. It just isn't used much. And isn't a Minotaur.
Sneak Attack seems like a great enabler for Moraug and synergizes with Neheb to gas you into more bodies.
Activating Didgeridoo EOT also sets up a 1-shot kill with Moraug.
Moraug + Neheb also seems very strong.
Neheb mana lets you sneak/cast more bodies from the new cards. If you draw Moraug, you can sneak it out, Landfall and attack with Neheb again!
Example lines with Sneak Attack in play:
1) R: Moraug. Attack for 6.
Foothills. 2nd combat. Attack for 7
Fetch Mountain. 3rd combat. Attack for 8
2) R: Neheb. Attack for 5 trample. Discard 4, draw 4 and make RRRR.
Cast Ahn-Crop Crasher
R: Moraug
Land. 2nd combat. Attack with Moraug + Neheb + exerted Ahn-Crop for 15, removing a blocker.
3) R: Moraug
R: Ahn-Crop Crasher
Exert and attack for 9, removing one blocker.
Land. 2nd combat. Attack again for 11.

Minotaur Stompy just got a huge boost from Akoum Warrior. This is a Mountain that can also be a 3-mana 4/5 trample flash. Didgeridoo.dec wants expensive Minotaurs to cheat out. Normally you have to balance that with not running too many uncastable high-curve cards in the deck, but a land completely negates that drawback.
It's slower than SSG, but a permanent mana source, and the body is much more relevant than Gray Ogre.
You don't get mana production like you do from Neheb, but Anje's Ravager could work if there's some kind of madness game plan. That would be a different direction than the other concepts.
