    stasis incorperated

    ive been brewing this list at my local game store for the last 6 months and it is now reliably winning in legacy games at my lgs. it is adapted to the local meta but there is enough support cards to get it to work anywhere. its fun to play and abuses stasis.

    2 Sylvan Caryatid
    2 Scryb Ranger
    2 Knight of the Reliquary
    1 Stoic Angel
    1 Derevi, empyrial tactician
    1 Archon of Valor's Reach
    1 Batterskull
    1 Thalia, Heretic Cathar
    1 Ramanup Excavator
    2 Brainstorm
    2 Growth Spiral
    2 Green Sun's Zenith
    2 Garruk Wildspeaker
    4 Stasis
    1 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
    3 Exploration
    3 Sylvan Library
    1 Dryad Arbor
    1 karakas
    2 Wasteland
    4 Misty Rainforest
    3 Windswept Heath
    4 Tropical Island
    2 Savannah
    2 Forest
    1 Island
    1 Plains

    Re: stasis incorperated

    Too heavy on the dudes, going in a lot of directions when you could just add 1-2 Trops to Elves and a maindeck Stasis singleton. Alternatively, make UW Standstill and fudge the numbers with maybe 1-2x E Tutor and 1x Stasis, hiding behind cantrips/Snapcaster/Wraths/Plows in a deck that will get to 5 mana for Teferi. An even better path is Karn with a SB Liquimetal or Lattice, and get the same effects without dead draws (though this has no Stasis).

    The most important thing about Stasis and cards like it is that they get worse in multiples. Your list is absorbing too much variance it can't mitigate. There's also an issue with power, b/c the most powerful thing you can do with Stasis is leverage Equipoise - but that means you're not playing any creatures (this is going to be less winning that derping people out with Chalice/Sol Land + As Foretold/suspend'y Balance card + Ancestral Visions).

    For Stasis proper, you're probably waiting for the untap stuff on 4-mana Kioras to appear on a 2-3 mana one (does not exist yet). If you're dead-set on Stasis + dudes deck, you probably need to rip-off Opposition's decklist (Quirion/Nettle/Visionary/SnakeElfDruid) and swap Stasis 1-for-1 with Opposition.

    To expand on the Equipoise stuff, which is certainly the most powerful exploit:
    -no Stasis, no dudes
    -you're running Karn to wish for Sands of Time
    -you're casting Karns and Sands and Equipoise off of Lotus Field
    -you're nuking your land totals down to about 0 after pulling it all off
    -you dunk all their lands and dudes and artifacts every single upkeep

    Against a sneak attack / natural order deck using tinder wall and orcish lumber jack shenanigans I won 2-1, against black red reanimator I won 2-1 siding in 3 leyline of the void 2 sword to plow shares, and one Knight of Autumn.
    Against burn with eidolon I won 2-1 siding in 2 damping sphere, 2 stp, and 1 Knight of Autumn. Against omnitell 2-1 siding in 1 tangle wire, 2 damping sphere, archon #2 and a lot of prayers to slam an archon early. Lands is a tough match unless I can get leyline. Maverick I win 2-1 Siding varies. Death and taxes I win 2-1atoic angel and Thalia shines here.

    Maybe combo Urza, Lord High Artificer and Winter orb?

    Your deck is very similar to this one:

    Not sure if you have already seen it but I'm sure you can find some ideas there

    Re: stasis incorperated

    I like the engine. I wonder if you can refine it to focus on the creature shell.

    //Creatures: 20
    4 Noble Hierarch
    4 Quirion Ranger
    4 Ice-Fang Coatl
    3 Sylvan Caryatid
    1 Scryb Ranger
    1 Ramunap Excavator
    1 Azusa, Lost but Seeking
    1 Trygon Predator
    1 Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

    //Spells: 16
    4 Force of Will
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Green Sun's Zenith
    4 Daze

    //Lock Pieces: 6
    3 Stasis
    3 Winter Orb

    //Lands: 18
    4 Wasteland
    4 Misty Rainforest
    3 Flooded Strand
    3 Tropical Island
    2 Snow-Covered Forest
    1 Snow-Covered Island
    1 Tundra

    //Sideboard: 15
    3 Force of Negation
    3 Surgical Extraction
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    1 Gaddock Teeg
    1 Knight of Autumn
    1 Stoic Angel
    1 Pithing Needle
    2 Sylvan Library
    1 Submerge
    1 Force of Vigor

    Coatl: Card draw. Flies to deal damage. Green creature that ups blue count. Sometimes kills fatties. Requires snow basics.

    Trygon: kills things. Flies to deal damage. Green creature that ups blue count.

    Azusa: Tutorable Exploration. Lets you return 2 lands with Ranger (one on your turn, one on opponent's turn) for max value

    Ramunap: Wastelock. Recycle fetches

    Derevi: flying win con through Stasis. enables other 1/1 flyers too.

    Winter Orb: back-up Stasis. plays well with low land count and Ranger/Hierarch shell.

    Xerox: good cards are good

    0cc cards: free spells are good under Stasis/Orb lock

    Some other interesting cards:

    Meekstone - combos with any ETB tapped effect to shut down creatures even when you don't have Stasis

    Root Maze - really slows down opponent from stabilizing, though it also negates the benefit of bouncing lands to Rangers

    Forsaken City - keeps Stasis alive if you have a draw engine, e.g. Jace or Teferi

    Authority of the Consul - slows down enemy creatures/ Thalia, Heretic Cathar could do this and Root Maze but 3 cmc nongreen creature is not easy to fit in

    Cold-Eyed Selkie - evasive win condition/draw engine with Exalted support
