August: Depths. September: RUG. October: ?

Gonna test people's powers of metagame prediction. Depths was king of August, and RUG is running away with September so far. What's your prediction for where the meta will shift (or not shift) and which deck will rule October?

I think cheeri0s will make a comeback and dominate the format in October. It's going to happen, I believe!

On a serous note I expect it to be something that RUG is weak against. People seem to want to play to beat "the best deck".

4c Control builds? The more the format settles, the easier it is to build something that has decent matchups, generally speaking, across the board.

The recent SCG results might be a herald of that. Then again, it might to the other way and be whatever ends up being better than 4c in general (while still being good versus Depths).

4C Control might make a comeback. Especially since Astrolabe not only fixes your mana, but grants relative immunity to Blood Moon — and often these decks run enough Basics to similarly ignore Back to Basics. Baleful Strix is still a great creature (though a tad weaker against W6), and Plague Engineer can deal with TNN. The deck just needs to adjust to have answers to the top decks, which takes some time before the format is settled enough for it to do that.
