Nether Dance of Doom (Esper Stax)

Ported from Standard, to Pioneer, to Modern. This deck basically came into being because I wanted to play Nether Spirit, and this allowed me to do so while playing a bunch of other pet cards. I think it's actually pretty good.

    Nether Dance
    CREATURES
    1 Nether Spirit
    SPELLS
    1 Fatal Push
    2 Inquisition of Kozilek
    1 Thoughtseize
    1 Path to Exile
    1 Dance of the Manse
    3 Omen of the Sea
    1 Search for Azcanta
    3 The Birth of Meletis
    1 Trial of Ambition
    2 Force of Negation
    2 Ghostly Prison
    1 History of Benalia
    4 Teferi, Time Raveler
    4 Doom Foretold
    2 Supreme Verdict
    1 Starfield of Nyx
    1 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
    3 Shark Typhoon
    LAND
    1 Castle Ardenvale
    1 Castle Locthwain
    1 Castle Vantress
    1 Celestial Colonnade
    3 Flooded Strand
    2 Godless Shrine
    1 Hall of Heliod's Generosity
    2 Hallowed Fountain
    2 Island
    3 Plains
    4 Polluted Delta
    2 Swamp
    2 Watery Grave

Sideboard typically includes Leyline of Sanctity, Leyline of the Void, Stony Silence, additional removal and counter magic.

The game plan is pretty straight-forward: control the board, pull ahead on cards, and lock your opponent out under insurmountable advantage. Doom Foretold is the cornerstone of the deck, working in combination with Nether Spirit and Starfield of Nyx. Dance of the Manse can be a game ender or a value play (gets back Starfield). Shark Typhoon helps you dig while putting an enchantment in your yard to return later and can generate blockers or attackers to answer planeswalkers and provide some pressure.
