this lovely altered necro replaced my korean one, which is not on the pic, but is also up on ebay aswell as those 1994 basics^^

sadly i missed the myfors altered plains set on ebay a while ago, that was really nice too!

I went 5-3 at SCG Madison today, playing 75 misprints. It was a ton of fun. I played UW Control and beat Maverick, Thopter-Sword, White Weenie, Esper Stoneblade, and one other deck. It was amazingly fun. Pictures will be up soon, I promise.

One on the left: My off-centre Beta, still in nice shape. This one really pissed me off. In the description, he described it as pack mint, which it looked like in the photo. But, I didn't notice it being as off-centre as it appears in real life, and the back is definitely not pack mint. Problem was, I ordered it through someone via MKM, so by the time it got to me, it was a month afterwards and I didn't really want to send it all the way back to Italy.

On the right: My nicer Alpha one, picked it up yesterday. All of the ghosting is just from the scanner; in person, the card is freaking gorgeous, even nicer on the back. It has VERY slight dinging if you look carefully on the left and right, but otherwise very nice.

So, here's some background. A few months ago, my friend Soly suggested I play an all-misprint deck. I have an all-misprinted EDH, and I thought that I should build a Legacy deck for the upcoming SCG Madison. I have a LOT of misprints, since I've been collecting them for at least 8-10 years, and I have a lot of playable ones, especially blue ones, so I went with a blue-white control deck. Remember, this had to be a 75-misprint deck, so that's why I went with Jace Beleren instead of Jace the Mindsculptor and that sort of thing. I went 5-3 with it, beating a lot of top decks. I had a TON of fun and I will definitely be playing a lot more Legacy in the future. Here's what I played:












If you can't see the card's misprinting, it's probably crimped. My misprinted EDH has no crimps in it because I thought that would be too easy, as I have over 6000 crimped cards, but I played some crimps in my Legacy deck because otherwise it would be impossible to field a playable deck.

viewed from distance it´s one of the crappiest decks i´ve ever seen, but if you look close you find some real gems like the forces, 2 of the brainstorms, the clique and the tundras.

though i wouldnt consider those slightly offcenter cards as misprints, they are just too common. for me it is value raising when a border is completely missing or a at least one other card is showing.

nontheless off-center is an error, but then you could also use 90% of the alpha print run as they are in average more miscut than many cards of the deck.

most badass is still this brainstorm! at least for me, but everyone´s taste is different!

EDIT: oh, i see again some nice altered moxes ending in a few hours aswell as some other goodies, but i have overstrapped my budget that much that i cant afford anything right now :-/
